"Mr. Ferrell first connected his computer to my computer via internet and worked for quite a few hours trying to determine what exactly was wrong. The next day he continued working from his computer for several hours. He determined he would have to have my desktop tower to complete the repair. He and my son met in Huntsville to exchange the tower. He then cleaned up a lot of what was wrong and reloaded Windows 10. He deleted the D: drive which had way too much memory allotted to it. The tower was returned and I plugged it all back together and it is working better than it did when I first purchased it. I would use him again and I recommend him highly to anyone needing computer updating and/or repair. His work is warrantied and he is very personable, knowledgeable, and helpful."

"Called another company originally they asked how old the furnace is and I said about 5 yrs. old (it is 6 yrs old). They informed me that I should get a hold of the company that put it in because it should still be under warranty, which after I looked it was. So I called Service Today to set up an appt. to have them look at it. Andrew came out and with various questions asked I said that the thermostat we have is wifi and that is how we run it. Comcast upgraded the wifi in the neighborhood the day before and it was today I woke up and noticed that the thermostat wifi was not connected to the wifi anymore. He looked into it and noticed that when I put it on heat via by phone app or manually by the wall thermostat, it was turning on the A/C instead and visa versa. He came at a price to me of about $350 to run a diagnostic to find the issue. He did and then he comes back and tells me that the thermostat itself is burn out (I bought the thermostat from them when I had the new furnace installed 6 yrs. ago). Andrew goes to his van and of course comes with only 2 thermostats that he has on hand. One is not wifi and it was $350 or so and the other was $800 which was wifi programmable. He did say we could just go and get one from Best Buy or something but we would have to install it. We decided on the lower cost of the 2. As he was installing it I looked up the retail cost for the same exact one he was putting in (Honeywell T4Pro) and it was $75 at Best Buy. I mean really.........that much of a mark up in cost!!! It is like this company does not understand that we are in a pandemic and that money for so many people is really really tight!! To gouge customers like that. As I sat in my office crying about the cost I let myself get washed into, after a while I asked Andrew why such a big cost increase on the thermostat. He said he has nothing to do with the pricing of items, which I understood. Andrew was a nice guy and just doing his job. I put this gouging at the feet of the company because right now, people have to decide to either pay a heating/electric/etc. bill or pay a company a massive cost to have a thermostat put in. Andrew did take down some wires that were for a humidifier that was on the old furnace prior to installing the new one and also cleaned some dust and lint from the furnace. Will I call these guys again, only if I know that there is something wrong with the furnace that is under warranty still, other then that, I cannot afford them. They were better when they were Airtech. The C rating I gave it has more to do with how nice Andrew was then the company. For the company itself, I give it an F"

"My freezer went out in the middle of the week, and after calling a couple of other places, I was pleased to find that SOS could send someone out as early as the next day.  The repairman was prompt, professional, and concise.  I noticed that he took his shoes off at the door without me asking, which I (and my hard wood floors) appreciated.  It was about 30 minutes worth of work, which he completed in 30 minutes.  I also appreciated the $20 instant discount for being an Angie's list member.  
I intend to call them again with any appliance issues in the future.
That being said, I rated price a B, not because it was high, but just a really small thing I'd like to see improved for the future. Up front I committed to a diagnostic fee in the event I did not accept the service ( which makes perfect business sense and provides assurance that I'm a serious customer), but the repairman quoted me a price ( only verbally) that perhaps came from his computer or his experience, but I think I would have felt a bit of assurance myself to have seen a listing of prices next to services. Again, small thing, I'd still recommend SOS to anyone."

"Paul and Dan were very professional and their attention to detail was amazing. They really took the time with us upfront in the planning phase to do multiple drawings and alterations to the original plan to make sure that we were getting exactly what we wanted. Once we decided on a final direction they got to work immediately with obtaining permits and ordering windows for our project and other than a few weather delays completed the project on time. When the work began they made great progress and took the time to bring up ideas to make the project better. Our house was built in 1906 and the craftmanship that Paul and Dan possess to make the interior trim match the existing trim was more than we could have hoped for. They did a great job matching the exterior shakes and paint work to make the addition look like it had always been here. In the end, we are absolutely thrilled with our new living space and how much nicer it is than we envisioned it turning out. Paul and Dan completed the project on time and on budget. We have already asked them to replace a few windows in the house and have recommended them to several friends/neighbors/family members for upcoming projects. "Sears' package of services allowed me to worry very little because they coordinated all the trades. Sears has a longstanding reputation for standing behind their products, something I had not found to be true with other contractors I had used in the past. Thecarpenter/job coordinator who did the refacing work was wonderful to work with, making minor modifiations as necessary to fit my needs.  I had not originally intended to purchase new appliances, but Sears offered me such a great discount that I added a new cooktop, double ovens (which required some cabinet modifications), and a dishwasher, which were installed by the carpenter.  He also coordinated the quartz countertop and flooring installations. All of the work Sears did was well done and professional. After the job was completed, I noticed that a door in the den that had to be cut off to accommodate the new flooring was a bit rough, and they sent the carpenter back to fix it within a week. I was somewhat concerned that I would not like the laminate used to reface the wood cabinets, but it has turned out to be very attractive, more durable than wood, and easy to clean.  No one can even find the seams in the quartz countertop or the Congoleum flooring, so I feel that their workmen are very experienced and skilled. I not only would recommend Sears to others, I would use them again for other work."
