David Ricard gave me a fair estimate to fill in mortar where a house brick was party broken by a telecom company and where some mortar fell out from an area a larger masonry company had repointed a few years before. David and his brother showed up on time, did the work in a reasonable amount of time, and cleaned up after. He showed that he understands different kinds of brick and the mortar required. I wish I had known about David before I hired that other company a few years before because the larger company didn't do a particularly good repointing job. I have upcoming mortar work needed on my front walkway and will be calling David for that repair. I would definitely hire him again and recommend him to others."

"I originally requested 4 quotes for roofing contractors. I received 3 quotes for estimates with Sino-American being one of them. That very same day, in fact almost immediately, I received a call from Mason, the company owner, which both surprised and relieved me who expressed interest in bidding on the job. We agreed to schedule his company to conduct an estimate. Sino-American was one of three bids I received who landed exactly in the middle and within my price range and although there was one lower estimate there was something special about the interaction over the phone I had with Mason that made me know that his company was the right choice. Mason arrived in person and ahead of schedule for our meeting. Mason was incredibly knowledgeable about the work to be done on this 25 year old or so roof that was basically falling apart and thorough about every single detail of the project. He offered many options for me to choose, from materials to colors, and everything in between including his project management style. I was sold on our business arrangement. Sitting at my kitchen table Mason began discussing each elements and phase of the project line-by-line in detail I didn’t expect and at this point could really care less about because in just a few moments listening to Mason it no longer felt like a business arrangement. Mason’s amazing and kind and diligent team arrived always ahead of schedule (they have that down to a science!) and did everything that was intended in the time it was told to me. There was never any situation that might have arisen that was not already discussed and priced by Mason. There is no doubt that he knows his business. The roof replacement was completed on time and beautifully done better than I expected. Yet the work was done so well it out shined the house itself and not because it was a new roof but because you could see the passion Mason has in his work and the faith in his work product he instills in his team. It absolutely reflected in the precision and the detail. Needless to say, I asked Mason to join me back to my kitchen table where I presented ideas about immediately remodeling the outside of the house and changing the exterior. Mason was honest (and kind and gentle) enough to quiet my outlandish ideas about changing the exterior and instead offered cost effective options through changing a part of the front of my house from 2 windows and a useless door (that I could never understand why it was there in the first place when I purchased the house 7 years ago) to three beautiful windows, new siding, and painting that has turned my house into a traffic stopper! My neighbors have offered that it looks like a newly built house and it really does! I cannot over exaggerate how grateful I am to have met Mason and his team at Sino-American and can recommend his company without hesitation! "I think the amount of time he was checking it, it was not an extensive amount of time, but I could see what he was doing inside the house.  I did go outside and see what he was doing outside. He also offered some tips about keeping the chimney and fire box clean.  He saw some other things, things that he says he does dealings with, brick work and stuff.  He said he could do some things, not now, but in the Spring. His emphasis, of course, was on the fire box thing. It was good, made my wife and I feel very comfortable that it was in good shape, that it was cleaned, and should work fine, which it did over the Winter. He was on time, if not slightly early. They were very professional."

"From the very first contact through Angie's List messages, Paul and Patrick were extremely responsive and courteous.
They quickly set up a diagnostic meeting, explained the process and gathered every bit of information needed.
Patrick showed up on time, listened, examined the damage area and took the time to explain all options, costs, and complexities of the project. He answered all of my questions and understood my concerns.
Because we were dealing with unknown factors, he recommended using a camera into the ceiling to assess the damages. I felt more confident taking the repairs in stages rather than bringing down the ceiling as a first recourse.
Once the situation was assessed, we agreed on the best and most efficient way to address the damage. Patrick is very considerate to the homeowner's needs and concerns. He promised to make it as easy on me as possible, a promise he kept in spite of the messy nature of the job.
Patrick was also flexible and understanding when plans changed overnight to add on more repairs or tackle them in a different way. He still showed up on time, even on a snow day, with all the needed material and proceeded to do the repairs as agreed.
Also, we very much appreciated his advice on related issues, such as lighting and plumbing.
