"Installation went smoothly once the particular part we needed arrived. We were impressed by the care Devon took to consider our scheduling needs so that patient care wouldn't be interrupted during installation. He also made sure to install a mixing valve that prevents the water from being too hot for our young patients."

"It went very smoothly. Seemed like a straightforward routine job. It took about 2 hours to remove and replace my 50-gal water heater. The company was very proactive with communication. It seemed a bit steep at ~3k but I didn’t shop around so I can’t say for sure."

"Miguel is my new plumber from now on- he was very patient in explaining what I needed to know about the job on hand. He was very polite and made sure I was comfortable with the choice I made. He also gave me proposals for a future project (possibly changing my water heater because itâ s 11 years old now , no issues-not leaking but I want to be proactive and to increase the property value as well). I will gladly recommend him to anybody who needs a new plumber. Heâ s just down right AWESOME!"

"Our water heater stopped working, I called this company and they arranged the coming time next day from 8am-1pm. I called them around 1 pm and was told they were all busy I had to wait, the technician actually showed up after 3 pm. He tested the gas controlled pilot and diagnosed the thermocouples not work, and he went out to buy the thermocouples, which I thought they should have in their service auto as a very common part, but they did not. The technician came back and replaced the thermocouple, the heater still did not work, after another hour, he told me the thermostat should be replaced, and he told me to contact manufacture to get the thermostat since the water heater is still in warranty time. He also told me to call him again when I get the part and there would be another charge of around $400 for installation. That day, I paid him $598 for his work and the heater was still not working when he left. Though I believe the technician should be paid for their hourly work, but $598 is really too much for his work."

"They did a great job, we had some sewer replacement work done and a tankless installed. We love the tankless and haven’t had a single issue with our sewer since. It was so worth it, and they were quick and efficient!"

"This company is rather expensive but the quick response for a leaking water main was great. Very professional and quality work. They identified the problem with the water main promptly and were ready to perform necessary repairs straight away when hired. I would consider using them for future remodel projects. On a side note, all of the other companies did not return calls. If they do not respond, why are they listed in Home Advisor?"

FAQs for water main install, replace or repair projects in Arlington, WA

If you notice puddles or standing water in your yard, a sudden drop in water pressure, cracks forming in your foundation, frequent clogs in your plumbing fixtures, or water that looks or smells unusual, you might have a leak in your main water line. These signs mean it's time to call a professional to evaluate the issue and prevent further damage.

A professional water main inspection is a comprehensive evaluation performed by a licensed plumber who checks every section of your plumbing system. The inspection costs $165 and uses advanced diagnostic techniques to identify hidden leaks or wear. This service clarifies the exact condition of your water main, enabling precise repairs that prevent future damage and ensure the overall health of your plumbing system.

Protect your water main by scheduling a cleaning and inspection every two to five years. The average cost of a sewer line cleaning is $400. It’s also important to never dig in your yard without first calling the dig line (811) to ensure you don't accidentally hit the water or sewer lines. Watch for soil erosion, low water pressure, or wet spots in your yard, and take immediate action if you suspect a leak. Remember, the longer you leave it, the worse the problem gets and the more costly it is to fix.

When properly maintained, your water main is engineered to remain functional for 50 years or longer. A durable water service in excellent condition should consistently perform without major issues for half a century. In contrast, metal pipes exposed to acidic soil corrode faster, whereas modern plastic pipes resist corrosion and function for decades beyond metal alternatives. Regular maintenance and inspections are essential for confirming your system’s longevity.

No, homeowners insurance does not cover the cost to repair a water main. Insurers fund only sudden, unforeseen events like a burst pipe and exclude gradual issues or normal wear and tear. Damage resulting from leaks, such as mold remediation or property claims, is not covered. It is essential to contact your insurance provider immediately to confirm your policy’s details and any potential adjustments needed.
