"More work was needed than was originally quoted. Final price was over double the initial quote. Scheduling was difficult. One worker needed to have scheduled surgery during the project and that resulted in several different Cougat teams working on the project. This resulted in the project not going as smoothly as it should have and communication between the teams could have been better. They cleaned up every day very well. The finished job looks good although the top of one chimney is not the same as it was originally."

"We had been pricing siding replacement for the last two years, and the best price we received was from Jacob's Ladder. We had previously replaced numerous boards fiber boards at the foundation all around and splash areas around our front and back porches ourselves over the last 15 years, but the west side was only saved by an exceptional paint job about 9 years ago by another Angie's List A rated painter. Following a screened porch enclosure and kitchen remodel by another Angie's list A rated contractor this summer, we decided to replace the west side and north side where the remodel occurred, and got an updated quote from Jacob's Ladder. The crew kept the site clean and picked up daily, arrived promptly each day, we're courteous and answered any questions we had during the process. Since we were only doing two of the 4 sides of our home, Justin discussed the transition points between old and new work, helped us pick the best option to handle them until we're ready to proceed. They will be our choice for the remainder of the work on the east and south sides, and our first contact for any repair, painting or exterior remodeling we need in the future."

"They were very punctual and initially they sent two persons out. They inspected the roof, looked at the chimney and the interior where the leak was coming in.   They determined that we needed piece to redirect the water. They set the appointment right away and were out in a couple of days. They only thing I would say was we signed up for an additional plan for roofing maintenance for removing pine cones and needle along with cleaning our gutters. I have not seen them yet."
