"Two weeks earlier we had Washington Plumbing and Heating clear a clogged toilet soil pipe after our housecleaner lost a sponge down the toilet.  The charge was $196 including tax and standard service-call fee.  The job was apparently done successfully, but the toilet again became clogged a few days ago.  We called again to make another unclogging appointment.  The technician arrived on time, unclogged the toilet with more robust equipment, and -- without any evidence that the two clogs were related, refused any payment -- not even a tip! <br>"

"Ed is the owner and I have used him at my own home 4-5 times now and referred him to other clients of mine. He is honest and dependable and thorough with no BS. He is not the rock bottom cheapest but in my opinion, you get what you pay or don't pay for and on plumbing, I want it done right at a reasonable price. Will always call him! <br />"

"We went to Home Depot to look into replacing our gas hot water tank, which surprisingly lasted 24 years. We were given the number to Fast Water Heater Co and made the appointment. Adam came out, and after explaining all of the details on the pricing, got started and finished in less than two hours. Excellent service, fast and we are happy with the results."

"Rey--who fixed the leak--did a great job and was very adept at quickly solving the somewhat complex problems associated with fixing the leak. He was great to work with. Also, another plumber who reset the toilet did a great job and was very professional."

"I've used them many times.  They did a good job but inadvertently created a small electrical problem.  When they put a piping in they hit an electrical line and took a circuit out.  Fortunately, my electrician was able to come back, figure it out and fix it quickly for me.  However, they are great.  I have them re-pipe my house couple of years ago and they did an excellent job.  They were quick and good priced.  They came back when I had a question about something that happened afterwards even if it was a minor thing; they still fixed it for me.  I like this company."

"<p>I had an old pump in my downstairs bathroom that needed replaced.  My plumber, Tom, arrived on time and was very friendly and professional.   The original pump was replaced by a newer pump that needed some adjustments.  Tom went out of his way to make sure the pump worked properly.</p>  Excellent service.  I will use this company and Tom again when needed. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Bainbridge Island, WA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
