"Had a great experience! They were able to get me on the schedule by lunch the same day. The gentleman they sent over was familiar with the age of my home and was able to do the repair within an hour He left no mess and did a great job. The pricing was reasonable for the repair I had done. I would definitely recommend them again."

"Did a great job with a challenging situation. Chris spent time figuring out several options for me. They went ahead and relocated the new tank water heater. It was a long job but it went very well. Chris and Evan were great, explained everything to me and cleared up afterwards. I would highly recommend this company. They pulled the required permit and the inspector said they’d done a good job. I will use them for my servicing now."

"The owner Doug personally came out to the house to bid out the job. His prices were 50% or more than the other 3 companies bids. His employee Wallace came out and repaired the needed parts and did a fantastic job. Wallace and Doug were very thorough about the work and the price. I’m beyond impressed with Shaw’s plumbing and would use them again for any plumbing repair work. So glad to have found a small company that does exceptional work for a price that won’t stress out your budget. Thanks again Doug"

"Cedric quickly diagnosed the faucet issue and attempted to repair it. After determining that it was unrepairable, he ordered a brush nickel faucet that matches our kitchen sink. He suggested that we join the Home Protection Plan for service savings. Cedric is courteous, knowledgeable, and professional."

"Not recommended!! Its a waste of money in my case. My kitchen sink underneath had a clog and a leaking pipe, So the pipe started leaking once the clog happened. The technician came, inspected quickly and quoted $1200 in this case. We did not approve the work and he charged $103. We had two more plumbing companies visiting after, one of them charged $525 (which is also high, but they completed the work) for just snaking And removing the clog, Another company was only quoting less than $200 for snaking and removing the clog. The work was offered to be completed in both the cases. As I am also reading from many reviews, I think Roto-rooter will just come and quote high and charge the visiting fees."

FAQs for faucets, fixtures and pipes repair or replace projects in Barker, TX

A minor, easily accessible leak can be resolved in about three hours, while a large or hard-to-reach leak may take up to three days. If flooring or cabinets need to be built back, the timeline can run several weeks to cover material deliveries and installation. Every job begins with detection, proceeds to repair, and concludes with restoring your foundation’s strength.

Slab leaks are most common in areas where the ground is in motion, such as those prone to earthquakes or highly expansive soils. In places like California, constant shifting puts stress on foundations and pipes. Stay ahead of trouble by monitoring your water bill, inspecting visible slab edges, and scheduling routine inspections to catch leaks early and maintain your home's safety.

Keep an eye out for damp spots, rising water bills, the sound of running water when taps are off, or staining and sagging along the foundation. Check exposed slab edges during routine walk-arounds and note any uptick in indoor humidity or pest traffic. The moment something looks off, call a pro—fast action protects your slab and wallet.

Most policies cover slab-leak repairs tied to a covered event, such as earthquakes, severe storms, or a fallen tree. They often won’t cover gradual issues, such as root intrusion or corrosion-related pinhole leaks. Every policy is different, so be sure to contact your carrier for the fine print before any problems arise.
