"This started with a persistently dripping bathroom faucet. The faucet was probably original to my mid-1960s ranch house. As long as I was calling a plumber in, I also wanted a dripping toilet (it was leaking around the handle used when flushing) repaired. I was pleased that a plumber was available the same day I contacted True Blue even though these repairs were certainly not an emergency. Anthony R., the plumber, came as scheduled late that afternoon. He was very competent and professional. He replaced the bathroom faucet with a modern new faucet because it really did need to be replaced. (My original faucet was so old that the metal at the base seemed to be peeling/twisted up--it was one of those faucets with the handles looked like plastic jewel knobs.) I examined the new faucet prior to it being installed and can verify its quality and heaviness. The new faucet has an arched neck where the water comes out and gives some height between the water coming out and the bathroom sink that wasn't there before. When turning off the water to the house, Anthony recommended replacing that on/off valve as well as a piece above that which regulates water pressure to the house. I'm sure both of these were also original to the house. The on/off valve was really corroded and I turned it gingerly when I had to turn the water off/on. As far as the water pressure goes, the Kansas City Water Department has been doing a lot of work in my neighborhood and will probably continue to do so and may at some point in time actually work on my street. To defend my house against the water pressure changes this can cause, I thought this change was also needed. I'm not sure I quite understand how it works, but apparently the water pressure had something to do with the toilet leaking. Be that as it may, I haven't had any problems with the toilet since the changes were made although the toilet was also worked on. These repairs were quickly done and did not involve a lot of time. I think this was a good value even though what was basically a leaky faucet expanded to replacing a water pressure device and the house on/off valve and cost about $1200. (I lived in another house where the house on/off valve had a box dropped on it which broke it, causing a major flood as water poured out. That's destructive so that's why I appreciate Anthony being proactive and making the recommendations he did as well as being able to complete it during this visit.)"

"Lewis was fantastic. He called me right away when I asked for a quote and came right out to examine my bathroom. While he was there, I asked him to take a look at our deck. He found some other things that could use some work, but was not pushy about it. Aside from beautiful work in our bathroom, Lewis and his crew painted our deck, stabilized it, fixed some water damage that we had and improved the flow of rain water off the deck, and repointed stone work that was water damaged on the level of our garage on our rowhome. I am keeping Sissi Construction's number handy for any future projects. I highly recommend this fantastic company. I could not have been happier with the work, communication, attention to detail and outcome."

"Anthony was very friendly and professional and even called to say he was going to be 10-15 minutes late because he was caught in traffic. He took a look at the faucet we had and discovered that we actually had a leak in the pipe inside the house that fed the outdoor faucet. He fixed the portion of the pipe that had split and installed the faucet - but he did not charge us for the extra labor and parts for fixing the pipe that had split - even after we insisted. We are fans for life and will call DTS on any future plumbing needs we have! I highly recommend DTS Plumbing to others!"

I was actually so floored by how good of a job they did for such a great price that I gave them a tip. Ben and Ian diagnosed the problem (a broken seal and rusted pipe) and were able to replace these parts within two hours. While they were here, they even unclogged a slow-moving sink for me! "That was explained in my review.  Total gutting and remodeling of kitchen and dining room.  Replace rail and spindles on stairs in entryway.  Paint whole house including trim and ceilings.  New wood floors in kitchen, entry, and dining room.  New carpet throughout rest of house.  Remodel guest bathroom.  We were given wonderful advice and guidance throughout the whole process.  Everyone we worked with was not only expert at what they do individually buy all worked together for a common goal--they made sure everything was done to perfection.  Rex even made a custom cat door for me!  I could not be happier with the way everything turned out--it is beautiful.  I have never had such a positive experience with a remodel, or any kind of work of this kind.  Paul was not only great to work with, but very talented and has a great design eye for what is needed."

"My contact at 5 Star was very professional. They called to let me know they were on their way, arrived promptly and began working right away. They actually accomplished more than I thought they would in that amount of time (4 hours). They kept me informed on how much time was left (I had purchased a coupon), and what they could accomplish in that time, so they would be sure to finish the project and not leave it unfinished. In the end, the replaced/repaired 3 different, fairly large, sections of my fence and it looks fantastic.
