A family run business specializing in custom decks. We are certified installers of low maintenance products such as Azek and TimberTech, and we install natural wood. Our second specialty is kitchen remodeling during the winter months. From 3D design to completion, we have the attention to detail needed for a successful project. Our goal is to understand your project requests so we can assist with design and material options that best meet your needs.

He arrived at 8:30 am and left 4:30 pm for 3 weeks even on rainy days and he put so much care as if he was creating an art work. When the city inspector came, he signed right away. I am very pleased as it will last almost forever. He waterproofed almost every piece which you can not expect from other contractors."

"The cedar porch floor was replaced with Azek porch flooring, the original cedar railing around the porch was replaced with a composite railing from Timbertech and a new railing up the walkway from the street was fabricated and installed by Ty, a subcontractor used by Country Carpenter. Ronnie, Country Carpenter's owner, was very professional. He was quick to make an appointment for the estimate, was clear about the timeline of the project, was very knowledgeable about materials and the building process, kept in communication concerning the project details and checked the site regularly to see that the project quality was up to his standards. The porch and surrounding railing installation were delayed at one point because the debut of the railing color was delayed by 18 months due to Covid. We decided to change the color of the flooring and the railing as a result. Ronnie had already purchased the flooring, but graciously agreed to exchange it for the new color we had requested. In short, I'd highly recommend Country Carpenter for the quality of the work provided, as well as the professionalism of Ronnie, his employees, and his subcontractors."

If you're tackling a DIY project, expect it to take a full day for a basic seat and several days for more advanced designs that involve extra structural adjustments.
A built-in window seat that measures four feet in width will seat two adults comfortably or let one person stretch out. Ideal dimensions are 17 to 20 inches in depth and 16 to 21 inches in height to ensure a balanced design and optimal comfort. Make sure your window seat isn't higher than the bottom of your window for a harmonious look in your space.
You might need a building permit to install your window seat. Even though it's an indoor modification, some municipalities require permits for any built-in seating that is added to residential properties. Check with your local building authorities and your professional carpenter to ensure you're in compliance and avoid any potential penalties.
