"I called Remedy at 7:30am to request a new toilet installation, and they were able to get it done the same day at a very reasonable price. The technician took his shoes off before entering the house and kept his mask on the entire time. He was professional and courteous, as was the office personnel I spoke with. They removed the old toilet, installed the new toilet, processed the paperwork, and disposed of the old toilet, all in less than an hour. I would highly recommend Remedy Plumbing and will certainly use them again if needed."

"They contacted me right away and had a plumber out in just a few hours (and it wasn’t an emergency repair!). Tawn was very kind and professional and repaired the toilet quickly. Very happy with Day and Night Plumber and I’ve already scheduled an appt. with them for more work!"

"We recently had a major drain line repair and replacement completed by Platinum Plumbing and Drains, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. After two other plumbers failed to follow up or even return calls, Platinum responded promptly and professionally. The job involved diagnosing a serious basement flood, camera inspection, excavation, and replacement of failed Orangeburg pipe. Humberto clearly explained the problem, showed camera images, and outlined repair options without pressure. They used modern pipe-bursting technology to replace the sewer line without trenching the entire yard. Luís and his crew demonstrated outstanding technical skill and attention to detail, carefully ensuring proper grading, bedding, and flow before closing the excavation. They even worked through the weekend to minimize disruption. Communication was excellent throughout, the property was treated with care, and cleanup was impressive for a project of this size. "

"Pohlman responded quickly when my water heater leaked and quickly replaced it at a competitive rate. I asked for multiple quotes and they were one of the first to respond. I appreciate the work, although I would have preferred to know which water heater was being installed before they put it in."

"I had a sewer backup in my basement. Used Angi’s list and gave RTillery, Alex, a call. They were fantastic - great estimate, responsive, professional, courteous, quick in all their responses, the list goes on. I started with replacing the inside cast iron pipe. Alex even added a clean out. He and his crew were prompt, always polite and professional. They didn’t seem to mind my popping in to watch. The line was replaced in a day and a half w/ minimal water outage. After going back and forth I decided to replace the outside pipes. Alex provided several options. Other estimates would dig up the yard, sidewalk and driveway, replace the cast iron and terra cotta, but no cement work. RTillery slid the new PVC inside the terra cotta which was cheaper and less to dig up and they replaced the sidewalk! Only one other company offered to sleeve the PVC and it cost more! RTillery even came back to fix an issue they noticed doing their final checks. Wow! Can’t recommend these guys enough!"

"Markool was super professional, kind, and skillful. A few things really stood out. 1) He did a furnace flue piper install that he could have charged us much more for if he had wanted to take advantage of us - but he was honest and we paid less than we feared. He also went the extra mile helping my wife and I through a warranty claim with the furnace company so that we did not have to pay extra part costs. It was an unexpected need, but he was prepared with the part and worked with the manufacturer to get us covered. He was even able to better a previous repair. 2) On a home humidifier install, he made himself available on short notice, took time to answer our questions, and then showed us how to maintain the equipment ourselves so we wouldn't need to shelve out more for additional contracting work - even from him. Grateful!"

"From start to finish we were happy with the owner Doug and his crew. They took care of my home and property. Excellent customer service, and skilled technicians. They delivered what was promised without any stress to us. The excavation in the front yard and in the basement was clean and well finished. They took their time and did an excellent job. FAQs for sewer main install, replace or repair projects in Bethesda, MD

When installing a sewer line, you should consider extra costs like tree removal, driveway repairs, or patio resurfacing. Hiring a professional plumber is essential, and you may need additional specialists if landscaping or heavy excavation is involved. Addressing these potential extras up front helps ensure accurate budgeting and prevents sudden cost overruns.

To calculate the length of sewer piping you need, measure the distance from your house to the main sewer line, adding the depth of the city main to this distance. Be sure to account for any obstacles like tree roots or utility lines that may require additional piping.

City sewer lines are installed at a lower elevation to prevent unwanted backflow and water damage. This lower positioning ensures enhanced performance and long-term safety, meeting all technical and safety standards.

With trenchless methods, a plumber inserts a smaller pipe within the existing plumbing, avoiding full excavation. It can be more cost-effective and less disruptive than traditional methods, but it's not suitable for all homes.

Yes, you must secure permission from your local water authority before connecting to a public sewer line. This approval ensures your connection meets all regulatory requirements.

Sewer lines are buried between 18 inches and 8 feet deep, with most systems placed between 18 and 30 inches. In colder regions, pipes are set deeper to remain below the frost line.
