"Within days of purchasing the deal, I received the instructions and paper to draw my table templates. The table has 2 drop leaves plus 2 additional leaves that can be inserted in the table. The templates were pretty easy to draw. The finished pads were delivered in a very short time. They fit the table and each of the 4 leaves perfectly and magnetically lock together to keep them aligned when on the table. A year and a half later, I still love these pads."

"<p>Mr. Dove didn't do the work.  It was two of his employees or subcontractors.  The installation of the wiring, ceiling fan and ceiling light went fine, but the drywall repair wasn't that good.  The texture they sprayed on the walls didn't even remotely match the existing wall texture, so their patch job was obvious.  Also, they didn't reconnect something in one of the outlets so only the top socket worked.  When I notified Mr. Dove, he came out the next day to fix it.  I was impressed by Mr. Dove's professionalism, and would hire him again provided he did the work.  </p> <br />"

"To start, the requirement to strictly adhere to all manufacturers' specifications and building codes for this re-roofing job was stringent, for I monitored the crew's work from start to finish. Tear-Off: After two weeks delay, the actual work started with SW Roof TearOff removing the old shingles. A little bump here, as there were a lot of old nails sticking out of the roof deck, pieces of tar paper still stuck to the deck, a cracked fascia board (which they quickly blamed the old wood) and a broken vent pipe after they're done. Bad wood replacement: Decent work by Excalibur Roofing crew, but definitely no precision carpentry, because of the crew did not possess precision equipment. Roof shingles installation: New underlayment / peel-n-stick installation was acceptable, again under my supervision. Some sections of the Drip-edge installation had to be re-worked. I had to request careful staging of the shingle rows, as the crew did not initially take into account the out-of-square characteristics of each roof section. The nailing of shingles was just acceptable, as I had the crew remove quite a few nails that were either shot-crooked or too deep into the shingle; in this respect, the crew, although experienced, was rushing the shingle-nailing job with less than perfect nail guns. The installed vents were about 0.75 in. off the pre-cut holes in the plywood; again, something that could have been prevented with a little extra time and care. The trimming of shingles along the rakes was sloppy; the 0.25 in. shingle overhang was in itself a challenge, and yet, the crew had to resort to scissors because of dull cutting blades! The same thing happened to the trimming of the shingles along the valley lines. The crew was very cooperative, but Erik never showed up during any stage of the installation (I guess he was counting on me to take his place). In the end, the finished roof looks pretty good from far away and has been watertight for two years; the actual price paid to Excalibur Roofing Services, Inc was somewhat high, when taking into account the time I had to spend checking each stage of the project. December 2018 Update: I discovered that a Decoridge cap came loose at the eave’s end of the hip ridge, hanging with just one nail (the other nail was shot-crooked and never penetrated the plywood). I then called Excalibur Roofing Services, Inc to request warranty service, only to be told by Mike that the company is currently out-of-business. It does look like this company’s 10-year workmanship warranty for my roof is down the drain; so, I ended up re-nailing the loose cap and seal it myself."

"After searching online and interviewing a few contractors we found just do it builders on Angies list. From the beginning we had a very good chemistry with Eric the owner. A factor that was really important to us. My husband and I decided to go with him and we were very pleased with the outcome for our project. As Eric promised the remodel took almost 4 weeks. They remodel our kitchen completely with new cabinets, new granite counter top. We also changed the floors to hardwood floor and we also added recessed lights and few outlets in dining area. What I like the most with this company is that every morning we got a phone call from the project manger in the office about the schedule of every day, we knew exactly when the guys are coming to work and we were updated with the stages of the project. Communication was great and helpful for us. The crew kept our house clean as much as they could. They took the trash every end of the day and really made the process easy and comfortable experience as it can be. I will definitely recommend just do it builders to my family and friends. We are thinking to remodel out bathroom soon and I already contact Eric for a quote. Thanks again for such a beautiful work we love our new kitchen!! <br />"

"From the first day of work, Mr. Sadock and his employees were courteous, polite, and professional at all times. They worked well as a team, were pleasant, reliable, efficient, and hard working. They were puntually there each day to work on time, were well groomed, and eager to begin. We were impressed with the quality of their work, and the way the work was completed. <br /> Each day, focus areas were prepared for work. Our furniture was treated with care, and the walls and floors protected. We were always kept in the loop as to what was happening, and the progress of the overall project. At the end of each day,the work area was cleaned, and materials and tools put away. Our comfort was always a high priority. <br /> When the project was completed, we were asked to do a final walk-through of all the rooms of the house. Mr. Sadock's employees touched up, replaced all light fixtures and vents, thoroughly vacuumed, and cleaned work areas. They did great work. <br /> In the end, we were left with beautiful ceilings. Mr. Sadock, Ygal, personally followed up with us each day to make sure we were pleased with all progress. He continually went over and beyond to ensure our satisfaction with the work, and his employees. We appreciated the suggestions, courtesy, and care he afforded us, and our home. It was a pleasure working with Sadock home Improvement. If you're looking for a professional company, which stands behind their work, we suggest Sadock Home Improvement. <br />"

"The handyman, Quinn, was competent and pleasant, but he communicated poorly with the glass supplier.  One broken bathroom window pane needed to be replaced, and an exact match to the existing glass in the other two panes could not be found.  I told Quinn that I might want to replace all three panes so that they'd match.   After he changed out the broken pane, I decided that I did want to change the other two for an exact match. It was only at that point the glass supplier told Quinn he didn't have matching glass in stock, that it had to be ordered.   Therefore a one day job became a three day job while we waited for the glass to come in, and temporary panes had to be put in so there'd be no holes in the house during a weekend away.   When the "matching" glass came in almost a week later, it was not an exact match - this is frosted bathroom glass, and per the handyman, because the glass was from a different lot, some pieces were more opaque than others.   It's my feeling that SOME of the fault lies with the glass supplier and SOME with the lack of communication between Mr. Handyman and the glass supplier.  The job took 3 times as long as the estimate, and my glass panes are NOT an exact match although that is what I wanted.  <br /> <br />"

"Diego, Hector and team were very thorough. I had multiple quotes, in their quote they spent the most time reviewing the roof before providing a quote on what was needed. The quote & final invoice was aligned with what our neighbors had done 2 years ago. They were online everyday and completed the work ahead of schedule. I work from home so I was able to watch the work as it was done. I would highly recommend them. It's a family owned business and their hearts is in the work."

"Leo Rubio did a wonderful job for us at an extremely reasonable price.  Unlike another refacing company I interviewed, he was very willing to customize the job to suit our needs rather being concerned with "the company look."  We have ideas of our own and he made them happen very beautifully in gorgeous maple wood exquisitely finished.  He completely rebuilt all of the drawers and used very excellent quality hardware so that all drawers pull out completely and all doors/drawers close quietly.  He transformed 2 false fronts into very helpful drawers, rebuilt the wood framing around our lighting fixture to match the cabinets and installed the door and drawer handles we purchased.  The kitchen looks brand new and much better than it ever has.  Everyone who seen it has been so impressed with the beauty and craftsmanship!  In addition, Leo redesigned the space and cabinetry surrounding our new our new oven and microwave with consideration to our unusual needs.  He also customized my knife drawer with a custom knife block insert.  Leo Rubio is also just a really nice man and a pleasure to have working in the house.  I gave him a B grade on punctuality because he was usually 20 minutes late and needed an extra day to complete the job - wasn't a problem to me at all and we are so very happy with the work that it seems very trivial. We feel like we made a friend in Leo Rubio! <br />"

FAQs for interior trim and decorative moldings repair projects in Borrego Springs, CA

While the terms 'trim' and 'molding' are often used interchangeably, they serve different purposes in home design. Trim refers to materials installed at the junctions of walls, ceilings, and floors, providing a seamless and functional transition. Molding, on the other hand, is a decorative type of trim crafted specifically to enhance your interior's visual appeal. For personalized recommendations that match your home's style, consult a professional contractor.

Repairing or replacing trim throughout your entire home takes six hours. If you're focusing on just a single room or a small section, you can expect the project to take one to two hours to complete. The process includes removing the old trim, carefully measuring and cutting new pieces, and precisely installing them to achieve a polished and lasting result.

Selecting the right trim is key to enhancing your home's overall design. Common options include shoe molding, quarter-round, baseboards, crown molding, chair rails, and picture rails. The best choice depends on where you're installing it, your personal style preferences, and your budget. Consulting a knowledgeable contractor can help you find the perfect trim to elevate your interior's appearance.
