"We hired Steve Everett of DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen for two remodeling projects in 2012 and another in 2016. We happily award them an A rating. The first time we hired Steve Everett we asked him to remodel our master bathroom, a remnant of the late 1970s. Steve worked with us every step of the way. After carefully measuring the space available, he offered a number of options for how our bathroom might be renovated. Once we decided on the bathroom’s new configuration, styles and colors, Steve and his competent crew went to work. They immediately impressed us by employing large screens and tarps to protect our adjoining rooms and furniture. They took great care to keep dust and disruption to a minimum. Then, after painstaking preparation, they installed a beautiful tile shower and floor and a new cabinet and sink. The quality of their workmanship quickly became apparent as they worked toward project completion. Once complete, we were amazed at how different our upgraded bathroom looked and how DreamMaker made it so much more appealing. We also seemed to gain space, a direct result of Steve Everett’s more efficient design. We love our larger shower and feel much safer with the expanded floor space. After a wonderful first experience with DreamMaker, we again hired Steve Everett to remodel our second bathroom. This time we knew what to expect and we were not disappointed. Then, in 2016, we hired DreamMaker for a third project. We were confident DreamMaker could deliver and that is just what they did. Steve Everett and his DreamMaker crew successfully updated our 1970s era bathrooms bringing them into the 21st century. Not only do we now have renovated bathrooms to enjoy, but should we decide to sell our house one day, we will likely gain additional profit from our investments through DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen. In sum, Steve Everett of DreamMaker epitomizes the consummate professional contractor. Aside from being a skilled craftsman, he is an honest and fair businessman. He employs competent and talented workers and his prices are very reasonable. In short, we highly recommend DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen."

"FAMB called and I told the owner what needed done. They knew just what to do after that. Gave me an estimate on one day, started the job the next day and completed. Cleaned up nicely everything pretaining to the fence even cut down a Bush that was in the way that grew there over time. The owner does quality work he and his helper. The replacement of my fence is awesome. Love looking out my back now. Highly recommend his service. Professional in his line of work. Nice and courteous to his customer. "Most pleased. Would definitely hire again. Needed carpenter to build a footbridge using repurposed wood, install insect screen under raised screen-in porch, install oak handrails, fix the threshold to our front door, and add shoe molding in basement. JW (owner) was pleasant, professional, and thorough when he came out to give an estimate. He listened to what we wanted done and suggested ways to make it work. Scheduling was a breeze. A team of two came out to complete our projects. Of course temperatures were in the 90s, but they worked nonstop. Pedro (crew chief) built our footbridge based only on description. The results were amazing. It's sturdy, attractive, and durable. Kudos for great work. Other projects were completed within the timeframe with Kevin working on the screen and railings with assistance from Pedro. The crew was timely, professional, courteous. They cleaned up at the end of each day. All work was completed within 4 days. There was only a minor issue with the oak hand rails (needed additional sanding) -- which was remedied quickly after review of the project manager, Bob. JW was a tad more expensive that other bids, but in the end, well worth the price. Glad we went with them."

"We have used The North Star Companies for several jobs in the past, with the most recent being the largest. We hired them do a complete renovation of our home in Severn. The job grew larger as demo began and turned into a job requiring the rebuild of exterior walls, demo of concrete slabs - basically the house had to be rebuilt from the ground up. All new plumbing, electric, framing, windows, siding, roof, etc. I have known Chris for 20+ years and was confident that our forever home would be solid and done right. We had a few hiccups throughout the process - as this was done during Covid, so there were supply issues, delays and so forth, but Chris and his guys did an amazing job. We couldn't be happier and are continuously getting compliments on our beautiful home. Chris has been and will continue to be our go-to for any construction needs for us and our family and friends."

"It was a pleasure again working with Yosuary Diaz and his team on our unfinished basement renovation. We hired them before for whole house interior painting. I would definitely hire him again for other home renovations. Him and his crew are great and are very skilled at what they do. Diaz was not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive contractor, but overall, well worth it! We had our entire basement gutted out and rebuilt. Diaz and his team rebuilt everything from the sub-flooring, new walls, and plumbing...and other major infrastructure that is not always thought of. We love our new basement with a complete bathroom! We highly recommend Yosuary Diaz and his team if you have a major home project."

"Jim, Wes, Chris, John, and the entire Elevate Design Build team we've worked with have far exceeded our expectations. We recently purchased a home with serious foundation problems in a second story sunroom addition. The sunroom was the jewel of the house, but the foundation was failing and the room had dropped about 5 inches. We received several opinions about how to proceed - ranging from repairs that would re-support but not level the room to demolition and rebuilding to abandoning the purchase of the property! Jim replied to my online inquiry quickly (and over the weekend!) and met us at the property a couple of days later. He was knowledgable, direct, professional, and very fun to work with. We felt most comfortable with his approach and expertise and were delighted that their proposed budget was more than competitive while still satisfying our entire wish list. They started work ahead of their original proposed schedule and kept us informed at every step. Chris led the onsite work and brought great comfort through stories of past work and his confidence about our approach. Wes (co-owner) was also on the site most days. It's worth noting that this project ultimately happened during the pandemic and we felt that the team took every precaution to respect our health, use appropriate protective equipment, and essentially never enter our home unless absolutely necessary for the project (and with advanced notice). The work itself was excellent. No detail was too small. At one point, it was decided that a change in approach would allow them to spare an existing lower structure slotted for demo. It made the work harder for the crew, but they did it and stayed on budget because they felt it was the right decision for us and our home. While other contractors advised that we'd need to rip out and replace all flooring and windows because they would surely crack while jacking the room to level, Jim said we should and wait and see - maybe we'll get lucky! He priced both eventualities - how much if we were able to use existing vs. if we needed to replace part or all of the interior features. The end result? Jim was right - we got lucky and no windows or tiles cracked! Another excellent piece of guidance that ultimately saved us money and earned our respect but was no financial benefit to the Elevate Team. Our sunroom is level, properly supported, and was less expensive than we budgeted. It is beautiful work, and it has made our house the "dream home" that we were hoping would be possible. In our experience, Elevate Design Build is a team of capable, experienced professionals with buckets of integrity. You can trust them with your home and your wallets. We did and we're thrilled. We've already requested a quote for our next project!"
