"We have used Mr. Rorer's services before and been greatly pleased each time. Mr. Rorer's estimate for the fence was competitive with others from large companies that specialize in fencing. The factors that resulted in our using Mr. Rorer's services for the fence were: (1) we'd used him before on other projects and been exceedingly pleased with his work; (2) he would be performing the work himself and would be directly accountable for the outcome; (3) we could count on him to do what he said he was going to do, when he said he was going to do it; (4) he's a perfectionist and the pride he takes in his work is apparent in his work product. A major challenge in building this fence was the slope in the terrain. The fence flows perfectly along the slope lines as a result of Mr. Rorer's expertise and precision in calculating the measurements for the fence slats. Our front yard includes considerable landscaping and Mr. Rorer was ever mindful of the plants and nothing was damaged in the process. When a couple of the boards showed warping after the passage of time, Mr. Rorer was very responsive in replacing those boards and others that he considered in need of replacement."

"Replaced kitchen cabinets, installed new appliances and quartz countertops with tile backsplash, tore down and rebuilt attached family room, added island to kitchen, replaced flooring with hardwood and upgraded electrical in both rooms, new lighting in family room, refinished wood floors in all downstairs rooms, upgraded electrical service to 200A, ran new circuit to garage. Work began immediately after Thanksgiving and most work completed and appliances installed Dec 23rd just in time for holidays. Work was done quickly, efficiently and professionally, trash constantly removed, foreman was always available and immediately responsive during this time. We were required to purchase new appliances ourselves which they installed, which we preferred. 1/3 payment required upfront, 1/3 when work started and the remainder when work was substantially completed and rooms livable (their definition). The contract allowed 10% of that final payment to be held back until all work listed and priced in the contract was completed. Although that seemed to be a lot to pay before work was completed, I correctly believed they could be trusted to complete the work quickly and properly. When mistakes were made which occasionally happened (e.g. a light wouldn't turn off and the range hood wouldn't vent), they returned immediately to correct the problem. All the contractors and subcontractors were professional, polite and helpful."
