"They did a really good job setting the gravel foundation for a large shed. Finished in one day and very punctual and good quality work."

"JP Landscaping wowed me from the minute they started work until the time they finished. I have truly never worked with a better contractor and crew than this group. We hired them to help correct a drainage issue on the side of our back yard that was allowing water flow toward our home during strong storms. Jose met with us and determined a plan to add a wall to hold the water and push toward the drainage system they added so that water would flow to the road and not toward our house. It turned out to be beautiful and functional! He has the hardest working and most professional crew!"

"We did not end up hiring Daniel, because the quoted price was outrageous. It was more than twice what we budgeted. Daniel kept insisting that his prices were higher than competitors because of the high quality of work, and due to the fact that his company is a "design-build" firm, whatever that means. I don't need a designer, I just need a contractor. We opted not to go with him because the price was way too high. He was punctual, easily accessible, and professional, but we will not be using his services."

"I've used Sharper Cut to develop the gardens in front of the house, terrace the front garden for a level field for the trees, bushes, plants and water fountain, and build out the back garden to include and expanded patio and fishpond with waterfall. Their work is superior...and helps give the house a more inviting exterior view to family and guests. I'd recommend them for any project great or small...and they can tailor the project for future growth based on your budget! The winter refresh and clean up went exceptionally well...as their work always provides!"

"When I purchased a new home, I hired Echelon to remodel the basement into a sanctuary where I could relax and entertain friends.  Rick King, the owner, met with me to discuss what I was looking for.  Based upon our conversation, he drew up the initial plans for what he thought I had in mind.  With few exceptions, he captured exactly what I wanted.  His work included designing the space, building it out, delivery and installation.  The work involved an entertainment center that he constructed with several resourceful ideas on how to hide a hideous fuse box, and television shelving that allows it to be viewed from any angle.  The build out also includes shelving and cabinets.  I am a book collector so there is ample space for books, as well as the pottery I have collected from all over the world.  The combination is brilliant.  On the opposite wall, he framed bookcases around a stone fireplace.  The craftsmanship is outstanding.  Every piece was hand-crafted and included hand-carved rosettes and fluted molding at the top.  The bottom of the units have cabinets for storage.  He also designed and installed a lighting system.  All work was completed on time and within budget. <br />  After the downstairs was completed, I asked Rich to design two pieces of furniture for me:  I wanted him to replicate a red Chinese trunk that was beyond repair, and a chest of drawers that needed to fill a large space.  The finished pieces are gorgeous, and both were delivered and installed on time and within budget.   <br /> I chose Echelon over the other contractors I interviewed because of the professional manner of its President, Rich King.  Rich got what I wanted.  He was  on time for meetings, he delivered when promised, and worked within my budget.  Once it was installed, I asked for a couple of tweaks, and he gladly returned to make the changes.  A very pleasant experience, and I learned a lot about space and design.   <br />"

"Still in process, but our experience with Chris and his staff has been such a pleasure. Aside from their top notch creativity and design/decor thought leadership, they are personable and very inclusive with us throughout the process. We can’t wait to continue the journey together!"

"These guys are real professionals, the best of the best.  Though I knew, all along, they were most capable of performing the design/build for the plantings, terraces and retaining walls, I was a little reticent, initially, of having them do the pool and spa (as opposed to having an outside pool company do that part of the work), but it turned out great and was really easy having them as sole source for the entire exterior of the project. JR is an outstanding Landscape Architect and no one knows stone better than Joe Colao. They actually helped me source some of the interior marble as well.... <br /> Most helpful and they continue to follow through with small additions and accessories (urns, planters etc..)"

FAQs for outdoor kitchen building service projects in Brandywine, MD

Building your own pizza oven can be a cost-effective option if you already possess the necessary firebricks or materials and have the skills to complete the project. When you have the required supplies on hand, you save on material costs and labor fees. However, if you need to source every component, a pre-made kit may not deliver the same savings.

Fire bricks are engineered to withstand the high temperatures generated inside a pizza oven, protecting the structure from cracking or spalling. Standard bricks can fail under intense heat, potentially damaging the oven and creating safety risks. By using true fire-rated bricks, homeowners maintain consistent cooking temperatures, preserve the oven’s structural integrity, and reduce the likelihood of costly repairs. The modest increase in material cost is offset by longer service life and safer operation.

An optimal pizza oven installation positions the opening exactly between 36 and 48 inches above the ground to guarantee clear visibility and safe, comfortable access. This height optimizes heat distribution and ergonomic use. In addition, dome height can vary: shorter domes produce the signature soft, charred crust of Neapolitan pies, whereas taller domes are ideal for generating the robust baking environment required for New York–style pizzas.
