This is the 2nd major project I contracted Art DeRosa & Co for.  The 1st being 4 years ago a major living room/family room renovation which was hugely successful.  That 1st experience led me to award Art (after several other competitive quotes) this 2nd and far larger & more complex project.

Overall it went well but this was a complicated project encompassing all the typical trades and expertise of building a new luxury house but far more complicated because it was a renovation performed while we were living in the home. Dust partition walls with wood framing had to be erected in several locations in the house which included temporary doors for entering and egress in certain areas of the remaining living areas of the house in order to protect the remaining house from dust and demolition , as well as, provide privacy for us during construction. 

Experience, Experience, Experience and Professionalism, Professionalism, Professionalism are the hallmarks of Art DeRosa and company.  He is a seasoned performer and pretty much seen it all.  Art has such a vast amount of home construction experience in both hi-end and medium end homes that he can draw upon a wealth of knowledge in all construction disciplines to implement a fine finished result.  As a former tool and die maker his penchant for hi-precision finish work yields highest quality appearances to things like moldings; trim; windows; doors; floors; etc. etc. 

This complex renovation project lasted 7 months which was within the initial time estimate given at the beginning and Art DeRosa and team were here every single day, day in and day out,  bright and early during that time frame. He did not start any other projects and stayed on the job day-in and day-out even when other sub-contractors such as plumbers and electricians were on the job site excluding his people from doing any other work. Art DeRosa and team were here every single day until final signoff.

I would not hesitate to recommend Art DeRosa & Co for any planned New House and/or House Renovation of any kind.

We were impressed with Dan from the time we met with him, and could tell that that he was highly experienced in his work and straightforward. Keith the Carpenter was just amazing from framing and leveling, to vent duct installation, cabinet installation and completing final touches to make it all look perfect. Dan also has a great group of subcontractors he works with. Shamus the electrician did an amazing job installing our new lighting. There were so many pieces to juggle, and Steve the project manager kept the project moving along, always keeping us informed as to what to expect. "I am selling my home in Westchester NY and during the inspection process, it was discovered that there was mold in my attic. Obviously it needed to be removed at my expense. I initially called another company, one of those national franchise type remediation companies and I absolutely flipped out at their estimate and the scope of work they were proposing. A week in my house, we couldn't' sleep in our bedrooms etc. Thankfully my realtor remembered that she had worked with Frank, who is one of the owners of Eco Green Solutions, on another job. "PERFECTLY! What an easy experience Gandolfo Contracting made this. I am so thrilled EVERY time I walk I to my kitchen. I purchased this service as a BIG DEAL on Angie's list and it was done within a few days. It could not have been easier. Using Angie's list to send messages back and forth was perfect for me! I did speak with Anthony the owner and he was polite and easy to speak to. I picked out what tiles I wanted and sent him the SKU and he picked it all up on the way to my house. They worked with me on my times as only afternoon is available for me to have work done. They arrive on time started right away was finished in a couple of hours and even went beyond and did a few extra touches for me that I had asked about. I will use them again in fact spoke to them before they left about other work I wish to have done. They were easy to deal with and very neat all was clean when they left. "Smart Tile was quick to respond to my request to have my granite counter tops cleaned & sealed. We setup a date and time to have the work done. I was called earlier in the day to confirm our appointment. Lorenzo was on time and started working immediately after he took a look at what was needed to be done. He was very courteous, friendly and paid close attention to detail. Lorenzo protected the floors with mats to ensure that the cleaner and sealer would not drip onto the kitchen floor. After he was done, my counter tops looked the same as the day they were installed. He also answered any questions that I had regarding the continued maintenance for my granite counter tops. Lorenzo was professional at all times and I could tell by the way that he worked he is an experienced craftsman. I would definitely use Smart Tile for any granite/tile work that I may need in the future."

This is the third project we’ve worked him on, and once again everything went exactly according to the schedule. He said we’d be ready to template in three weeks, and we were. Construction projects are never easy, but AJ is always honest and upfront about the budget, timing, and scope of work. More importantly, even though we expanded the project along the way, he made sure we were eating home cooked meals in just six weeks. We’ll definitely use Babylon Bay Construction again."
