"It has been 3 years since I installed a full perimeter water proofing system from CT Basement Systems. I waited 3 years to see how the system held up over time before offering this review. Bottom line, after years of having constant water in my basement, the system has done what it promised to do. My basement has remained dry for the most part. Immediately after having the system installed, we identified a few spots where there were penetrations through my basement wall where water was coming in and overshooting the perimeter system. All but one of these spots have been fixed. There remains one last trouble spot which is where the flue pipe for my furnace comes through the wall that water still seeps through but only under the most serious (hurricane type flooding) water conditions. It is not something that we would have expected the system to prevent as water follows the flue pipe past the system and onto the floor. We will be addressing it to finally have a dry basement once and for all. I understood immediately what the system would and would not fix. Of all the contractors I spoke with CT Basement Systems was the only one who was up front and honest about how their system would work, what it would fix and what it would not fix. This was one of the reasons I finally went with them, low pressure, up front honest sales. To all those other basement system companies sales people who tried to convince me my house was going to collapse if I put in any other system but theirs, take note. My house is still standing. The installation was messy and noisy (as promised) but it was all done in a day, and they left it neat and clean (expect for all the dust) and professional looking. After 3 years, not a single drop of water has made it past the perimeter drain channel. I did need to replace a float switch on one of the sump pumps (I have the triple safe pump) but that is the reason i went with the triple safe pump system. What I realized is that all these basement systems are the same idea. Create some type of channel to create a path for the water to drain to a collection point. It then gets pumped out. All of these systems from all the different companies are the same idea and all try to convince you that theirs is unique and better. I personally feel they are all the same as they all work. What is critical is the pump system. It was basement system's triple safe pump concept more than anything that convinced me to go with them. With all the others, a single pump failure would have caused a flood. So read their informative book carefully and listen to their sales people and ask questions. So long as you understand what the system will and will not do I don't think you will be disappointed."

The price was fair and reasonable; they were flexible and super trustworthy. I actually enjoyed having them at my home believe it or not. We needed to tear up an old concrete driveway (~50' x 12') and replace it. Initially we thought we were going to go with asphalt because of the lower cost, but when we discussed the pros and cons with Vincent and compared his quote to those from other companies, we realized AA Outdoor could do a high quality concrete driveway at a price that was comparable to asphalt. Concrete will also save us maintenance and expense over asphalt too, and that decision was made in part because of the excellent communication and feedback from Vincent when we first started discussing the project. Vincent is very knowledgable and has decades of quality experience; I asked a ton of questions and he answered them all - I actually learned a lot from him. I recommend Vincent and Grecia (AA Outdoor Services) highly without a doubt!"

They brought in a structural engineer to thoroughly examine the foundation and wrote up a detailed report, including extensive photographs, of the problem. They gave a written proposal for potential work to repair the problem according to township code. All of their work (three separate visits plus three detailed reports) was done in an astonishingly compressed time period, which enabled us to meet our required deadline to attempt to continue with purchase of the house, depending on current homeowners willingness to either repair the issues to our satisfaction or give us a purchase credit of the amount proposed by Foundation Experts.
