"The reason I first hire them is to look at the boiler to reconnect the pipe so I can get it tested. The plumber came and he told me he does not do that work. They lock you in with the deposit and so you use it or loose it. The work that was done was okay. To reconnect two 1.5" drain pipes for $450.00 is a lot of crap. I would not hire anyone that would ask for a deposit, for it is the games that they play. Use it and they still charge you more for the job."

"Doug and his colleague were fantastic. My second-floor shower was leaking on the first floor. Doug quickly diagnosed the problem - shower head pipe in the wall was cracked. Doug replaced the shower pipe coming from the wall, which allowed me to put on a new shower head. Doug was very honest and could have tried to tell me the issue was worse than it was. I will definitely use them for any plumbing issues in the future."

"Great communication with Ron! My boiler and HW heater were fire hazards that needed immediate replacement! I felt confident with Ron and trusted him the moment we met! He followed thru with financing, scheduled the install, and completed the install same day! I kid you not ... the new boiler (and all that goes with it) is absolutely beautiful !!! He followed thru to make sure all zones functioned and my basement was clean when he left! I will be calling PlumbTech (as needed) and highly recommend Ron to anyone needing exceptional service!!! Thanks Ron (Superman) !!!"

"My mom has been hospitalized since mid-January. While visiting we stopped by her house to discover she had run out of heating oil and pipes were frozen. We needed a plumber! My husband and I called John many times to ask many questions on what to do. John was always willing to take our phone calls and answer all of our questions. He was our plumbing consultant and we hadn't even hired him yet! Did I mention we I live six hours away? <br /> After we got the heat back on, John sent his crew to go about fixing the damage. Since I live out of town, I left him with a key to my mom's house. His crew arrived early on the day of the appointment. John called frequently through out the day to give me updates on what needed to be done. He was able to locate hard to find sink faucets and had all repair done by the end of the day. Great job! <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Bridgewater, CT

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
