"Steve Grizzel did a BEAUTIFUL job repairing and resurfacing our bathtub. It was the original 1952, cast iron tub complete with years of rust, worn out adhesives and abuse. Steve came in and cleaned it out, repaired the rust around the drain, and made our tub look BRAND NEW AGAIN, all for significantly less than it would have cost to rip out the tub and install a new sectional or a tile shower. He showed up when he said he would, was professional and pleasant to work with, did a fantastic job and the price was right. Highly recommend!! Bob and Julie Bicknell"

FAQs for appliance (major electric appliance) installation and replacement projects in Bristol, VA

A pro starts by setting the units in place and connecting them to the right plumbing lines, electrical circuits, and, for the dryer, a vent. If the hookups already exist, the job is quick. When they don’t, the installer must add plumbing, outlets, or a vent run, which takes more time and increases the price, especially when the laundry area is located far from existing utilities.

You’ll need the right pros for a tight stacked setup. A natural-gas plumber handles the water lines, drain, and any gas work, while an electrician installs the circuit the dryer needs. If venting or framing changes are required, hire a general contractor to patch the drywall or adjust the framing so that everything meets code and operates safely.

Permanent models need complete plumbing, electrical, and—for dryers—vent hookups. Portable units skip most of that and can run on a standard outlet with a temporary water connection. If your home already has a code-approved hookup, you just connect the new appliances. If not, hire a licensed pro to add the lines and vent so the machines run safely and efficiently.

Relocating a hookup costs between $500 and $5,000, as it may involve installing new outlets, gas lines, vents, and drain pipes. The price increases when the new location is far from existing utilities or requires additional framing and drywall work. Have licensed professionals evaluate your layout, provide a quote for the move, and handle the installation so that every component meets code and works safely.
