"I’ve used S and R Pools of Manville for about three years and prior services were good. However, this year they simply did not meet prior expectations. I normally do not go out of my way to write reviews, unless I receive stellar service or horrible service. In this case Kevin the owner was completely defensive and tried pass my concerns back to me, the customer. For a business based on word of mouth in a highly competitive market for pool companies, I was shocked at the level of unprofessionalism and unwillingness to listen to a customer. Ironically I was getting ready to install a pool heater this year with S and R... needless to say, I’ll find someone else. By the way, do not confuse S and R Pools of Manville with storefront S and R Pools of Martinsville (a few miles away). The owner of that S and R is a fantastic person (fair and honest) and is well known to the community. I will continue to give him my business. UPDATE(08/14/2018): I gave S&R Pools another try and this time they really came through. We needed an emergency repair for one of our return lines and Kevin had his guys fix the problem immediately. Keep up the good work!"

Since my spa hasn’t been used and left empty for years Robin has tried to get the information about my spa as much as possible and also guided me to fill the spa with water to see whether there is any leak beforehand in order to save time and money. John and Austin came to work on time. They are very kind, professional and knowledgeable about my unusual type of Emerald spa which was sold only in Staten Island and off the market already. The spa turned out to have leaks and motor problems after testing. John explained it to us in detail , pros / cons for repair and gave advice in customer’s shoes as well. "They have always fixed the problems that we've had. Frustrations? Delays? At times. We live in a flawed world. But overall, service has been professional and well done. It has always been worth the monthly fee and deductibles. If you consider that most appliances today only last five years or so, breakdowns are going to be a given. Our most recent repair will require at least two service calls and an $1800 part. That more than pays for our entire year's fees."

"I bought the deal for 4hrs/1 person or 2hrs/2 people. However I got 3 people for 1hr 20minutes. It just wasn't enough time unfortunately. The work they did do was very well done and immaculate. They cleaned up everything as they went. It was like the weeds never existed. I asked them to bring a lawn mower but they forgot. The job did not get completed before they had to leave which was disappointing. If they had remembered the mower, I'm sure I would've given them all As. Oh well."
