"Scheduling and communication with Tony went well. Roofing itself was done well and as scheduled. The only issue I have had was at a later date. Found wood that was rotted and in bad shape. It should have been replaced but was not. I DO NOT fault the company owner but believe it was his workers who ignored the rot. I have not contacted Tony as it is my fault for not doing a better job of inspection at the time. I WOULD USE TONY AGAIN and don't believe he would tolerate this lack of workmanship. But I would watch the crew and do a thorough inspection from in the attic."

Jeff, the owner, is excellent at communicating every step of the way, showed up each day when work began, during the process, and when work ended to make sure everything was done correctly and cleaned up. "I reached out to multiple contractors to evaluate and propose a solution for a complex structural problem related to my garage. Specifically, a main structural beam on my covered patio was not properly secured to the structure of the garage. Poor workmanship by a previous contractor had led to leaks in the roof above the beam resulting in rot of the wood framing underneath which eventually led to the failure of the connection between the beam and the framing members in the garage. The beam dropped several inches and damaged the siding and trim on the garage. I called Kephart Handyman after reading their reviews on Angie's List. Barry promptly replied to my inquiry and came to my home to evaluate the problem. After taking some pictures he came back to me quickly with a proposal. There was some uncertainty on what would actually need to be done depending on what his team found when they removed some of the damaged wood. In the end, Barry's team removed and replaced all of the damaged structural framing, roof decking and shingles and added a new support column for the beam. They wrapped the beam to match others on our patio. The quality of their workmanship was very good and the team cleaned up as they did their work. In the end, the job took five days instead of the quoted three days and involved unplanned removal and repair of drywall inside the garage. Barry stood by his estimate and did not charge extra for the added time it took to make the repairs. Overall, I was very satisfied with their work and their ability to find a solution to this complex repair.
