"Don was great. He arrived when he said he would, performed the tasks in a very timely manner and quoted what he said he would - and at a price that was better than his competitors. I highly recommend American Overhead Door for your garage door needs."

Small jobs welcome

"Getting quotes for a garage door replacement was a pain from everyone except A1. I knew exactly what I wanted so Meranda, the office manager, was able to email me a quote immediately. The quote was $800- $1,000 less than everyone else! They happened to have a door in stock so I was able to get mine replaced in a matter of days while all other companies said it’s be on a 6 week waiting list. The installer was really nice and very impressively quick. The process was seem less. I hope I don’t have to replace my door again but I know who to call if I do. Highly recommend!"

"Jeff was a great professional. Answered by post in 30 minutes. Came out that night and gave me an estimate. Fixed my broken spring on the one garage door and repaired my broken garage door opener on the second door two days later. Could have just told me the opener was broken and sold me a new opener. Tested the broken capacitor and replaced that and saved me a bunch. Jeff is an honest professional with great timely service and won't up sell you about stuff you don't know spit about. He should be your go to garage door and opener guy. Thanks Jeff."

"Tom did a pre-inspection of the garage door issue I was having and thoroughly discussed the options. He is very knowledgeable and safety aware. The thing that stood out the most was that he came prepared. He fixed my garage door opener hanginging fixture that held the motor unit to the ceiling. He also reseated the garage door spring onto the wall in a more secure spot safely. He checked the alignment and greased the rollers so the garage door rolled smoothly. Overall I'm happy that I called him."

FAQs for garage door installation and replacement projects in Brownsville, OR

Yes, you can replace just one panel if your door is sectional and the damaged panel is available. Most modern residential garage doors have four to six horizontal panels that can be individually replaced. However, finding an exact match becomes challenging for older doors or discontinued styles. For doors over 15 to 20 years old or with multiple damaged panels, a complete door replacement might be more practical and visually consistent.

Minor dents or cosmetic damage can often be repaired without replacing the entire panel, potentially saving you money. However, if the damage affects the door's operation, security, or structural integrity, replacement is often a better investment.

For extensive damage to multiple panels or older doors where matching is difficult, full door replacement might be more economical in the long run than multiple individual panel replacements.

Your garage door panel might be repairable if the damage is superficial and doesn't affect functionality. Small dents in aluminum panels, minor scratches, or cosmetic issues often don't require full replacement. However, replacement is often necessary if the panel is warped, has large holes, shows extensive rust, or affects how the door operates. A professional garage door technician can evaluate the damage and recommend whether repair or replacement offers the best value and durability.
