Installed a new connector, fuses and breaker and got me running. He is very through with his diagnostics and he even checked on me later to make sure that thermostat reached the desired temperature! We are new homeowners of an 8 year old house. The previous owners had installed a low-lying deck which blocked outside access to the dryer vent.  Because of an excessively long, elbowed vent pipe that practically runs the length of the house, Mr. Danforth was only able to initially clean a partial section.  He was willing to return--  free of charge -- within the week, to allow us time to remove a few deck boards to expose the outside vent.  Of course, the vent was completely blocked with lint.  Mr. Danforth was able to remove approximately 8 years worth of lint debris.  This fire hazard has been removed and is no longer a threat to my family.  I feel blessed that I made that call to The Fireplace Doctor! Our clothes, despite the use of fabric softener, no longer have a stale smell to them. The drying time has been cut in half!  Because of this, I look forward to my reduced electric bill. "Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
