At the end of the project, he actually snapped at me asking where I had put the wrench that he asked me to pick up earlier after dropping it off the roof. "Do not use!!! They installed a new thermostat 12/3/24. I am in the hospital and my sister came to the house on 1/11/25 to the temperature in my home being 99 degrees. They did not stand behind the thermostat they installed less than 45 days ago. They charged over 200 dollars for a thermostat I found on Amazon for 50 dollars plus another 200 in service fees. I will NEVER use them again."

"My simple advice is to ask for all costs upfront in writing. This was a two day job, but it should have been a one day job, I will get into that later. The repair was fine but the communication and billing was unacceptable. I was told by the technician in the field that the $179 Service charge would be credited to the final bill, which is what I am used to with other service comanies like plumbers. Because of that I agreed to the work. I was then surprised to see the service charge on my final bill as well as a $50 extra deposit fee. I called the office and they said that they never credit the service charge, perhaps it was a miscommunication error, and that they would correct the extra deposit fee. But there was no accountability or responsibility for their uniformed field tech who essentially lied to me. I feel it was dishonest and a bad business practice to not offer any kind of discount for their mistake. They also showed up the first day and then went to the warehouse to get the part but came back with the wrong part. They then had to reschedule for the following week because it was 3pm on Friday and the warehouse was now closed and they couldn't get the part until later. They offered to do the work over the weekend but that would incur overtime charges. I told them I would not pay overtime charges for a mistake they made getting the wrong part. Overall I am very dissatisfied with the company and would not recommend them."

The U.S. Department of Energy states that swamp coolers can cool a single room by five to 15 degrees Fahrenheit. However, this largely depends on the size and installation method of the evaporative cooler. You can only achieve these results in a dry climate, such as the American South, as it’s easier to cool rooms in humid environments with central air.
Swamp cooler water usage varies depending on the size of the unit. Smaller evaporative units may use one gallon per hour, while much larger units could use up to 15 gallons of water per hour. Most homeowners can expect their unit to use between seven and 10 gallons of water per hour of usage.
