"It was ok. He didn’t seem to grasp the importance of a time schedule having had to reschedule once and then showing up early twice when I wasn’t home. He did come back to correct something that I had requested, so that was good. I never got a detailed description of what he diagnosed and replaced as requested. This was important since it was an insurance claim and now the claim has been denied for lack of evidence. So now I’m out the money for repairs. I may hire him again but I won’t be asking Lowe’s to deliver and install anything any time soon."

Mr. John Sherlock arrived at the time and date specified to give us an estimate.  He returned the following day with his assistant and performed the job in one day.  He installed 26 copper lightning rods on the flat roof of our 7,000 square foot home.  These rods were connected with 500 feet of heavy duty copper cable and were grounded at three points with ground rods going down through the drainpipes into the ground. All parts of the system were securely attached to the roof.  He did a neat job and cleaned up all excess materials.  We were very pleased with the job him did.  Since installation of the lightning rod system we have had no trouble with lightning striking the house or causing power outages or surges.

He had the door installed within about a couple hours and did not even charge me the full estimated cost of 250. He offered to do the rest of the install work (foam insulation, reattach brick mould, etc) but I enjoy that stuff. I will definitely keep him in mind when I have another project I need help on or someone to do for me
