"Services performed 06/13/2020. Early on a Saturday there was no heat in master bath sink hot water and we assumed it was the water heater. Bucci & son (the son & his helper to be exact) had been out to clean our drains two days earlier on 06/11/2020 (see my separate review for that) and we were so pleased I called them again thinking the thermostat on the water heater was bad because it was a relatively new water heater. It was a Saturday but Bob again sent his son that afternoon. It turns out he traced it to a minor problem at the sink and refused to charge me or take payment of any type. He vented 2 bathroom fans to the outside, instead of the attic; replaced a GFCI outlet in bathroom; replaced 2 wired smoke detectors; adjusted 5 doors that didn't close properly; drywalled 2 holes in basement ceiling/wall; added styrene panels to 3 light fixtures in the basement; replaced kitchen lazy susan hinges; completely rebuilt and stained porch railing."

Home Crafters are very professional.  They were the first, after I had called 20-25 roofers, to actually call me back and give me an estimate.  They told me that they would not be the cheapest but they would do the work by the end of the year like I wanted and do a professional job. 

The main roof of the house had cracked shingles and looked ragged.  There were no leaks nor evidence of water leakage inside.  It had 2 layers of shingles on it.

Their estimate included:
- removal of existing material to roof decking,
- inspect deck and replace boards if required for an extra charge,
- Install 30 lb roofing felt,
- install 30 linear feet of ice and water sheild,
- install all new flashing,
- install new 30 year shingles,
- Install new aluminum fascia in front,
- install new aluminum gutter in front.

Total cost was to be $ 8225.00. 

The main reason I did not hire them was that I could not get over the fact that installing the gutter added $ 900.00 to the total cost. I thought gutter installation should have been cheaper.  It turns out that if I would have hired them I would have had the work done by December like I wanted instead of January-February.

I would definitely give these guys a chance in the future. They seem like real professionals.

"I used him twice.  The first time he came in, he did a good job.  The next time I used him, I paid him but he didn't really provide all the things he was supposed to provide.  He was supposed to come back to give me some side light on the side walk but he didn't come back and do that.  He didn't do what I contracted him to do.  He did replace an electric meter for me but that really wasn't what I had asked him to do.  He even removed something from the front of the house.  He said that it was defective and I never heard from him again.  I was very disappointed with him.  He may have moved because I think he was moving when I used him.  His name is Rey Waters and he is a registered home electrician.  I was not very pleased and not happy with him.  He didn't follow through and that's not professional to me.  The worst thing was that he didn't even respond to me just to say sorry.  There's this part that it's my fault because I paid him before doing the work.  I should have let him finish the work before paying him so it was partly my fault."
