"We had a few contractors over to give us estimates. It was summer and kind of busy season so they all took a week or more to get back to us. I think EHS were among the fastest, which we appreciated and the least expensive, which we really appreciated. I mean we got one estimate to reface our existing cabinets - 1500. For 2600 or so EHS said they could replace our cabinets with new ones, build a little wall to block the view of our washer / dryer (in our kitchen), and remove some soffits that were wasting space and cramping our kitchen. <br /> So we hired them to do that and more. For expanding the entrance way, one contractor wanted 3k. For the same price, EHS expanded the entrance way, and tiled our shower, and put in new counters and sink, and did some touch-up painting, and installed a couple of ceiling fans, and installed new locks. <br /> Good quality, good price. Jeff and Wes and the subcontractors I met were always polite and responded to calls or messages in a reasonable amount of time. I would use EHS again. <br />"

"He showed up on time when he said he would -- actually a few minutes early -- and he worked through until he was finished. He was careful to understand exactly what we wanted and to provide it. He was very careful and skilled, and his finished product was exactly what we asked for. He was polite and pleasant to have around. He was, in short, exactly what you want in someone who is doing work on your home. Furthermore, his estimate was significantly less than a competing estimate and much less than half of what a general contract had quoted us for the same work. <br />"

"The back of our house has never looked great. Not enough sun. Grass always died in patches. Finally, after 15 years we decided to do something to improve it. We drew up a rough plan and made a visit to Mayday to get their help. Mark came out to the house and did a rough layout of the plan and suggested modifications. When we were somewhat in agreement he went back to the shop to work up a price. He called the next morning and had the estimate. We went back to Mayday to look at the different synthetic grasses on display. We also looked at the pavers he suggested using. After a few changes he came back to the house and did a more detailed layout. We gave him a deposit on 3/11 and they ordered what was needed. In a couple of days the workers were at the house preparing the site and laying the pavers. It took about a week for the synthetic grass to arrive from Texas. When it came in, they were at the house to complete the job. When finished our backyard looked great! My wife was happy and therefore I was happy. Also I no longer have to mess with trying to grow and maintain grass back there again. <br /> Mark and Rick were just great, easy to work with and the completed project far exceeded our expectations! <br />"

"I couldn’t be more happy with the process and the results!! Working with Jake and Parkstone Construction was unlike any other contractor experience I have ever had. He was very kind, a clear communicator, and a man of his word. Seems like it should be a given, but that hasn’t been the case in the past with other contractors we have hired (just getting those previous guys to show up when they said they would was enough to drive me crazy)! I am now thrilled every time I drive up to our house. The quality of the materials, the workmanship, and the end result are all just incredible. We will absolutely be calling Parkstone every time we need help with anything even remotely related to construction."

"I asked for the estimate on June 18th and Aaron Stewart replied on June 25th (apologized for the delay in responding). He was very helpful and professional in his reply in that he gave the estimate with a caveat which showed he was experienced in this type of project. <br /> <br />"

"We are an older couple with plenty of experience in dealing with house projects and contractors--some good, some not so great. This cabinet refacing effort was part of an overall kitchen remodeling project involving new lighting, back splash and appliances. <strong> I can say unequivocally that Michael Keith is the finest craftsman with whom we have ever dealt.</strong> Exacting, meticulous, hard- working and utterly dedicated to perfection, we are just glad we found him via a word of mouth referral. My wife has dreamed of redoing the kitchen for years and the result has exceeded her expectations. Michael met or beat his original schedule projections, was on time every day and was totally committed to our project from start to finish. Always pleasant and personable, when working he was all business. A one man operation, he did the bulk of his prep work at his shop offsite with finishing/installation onsite. All the necessary painting in our home he did by hand. Given the size of the job, the amount of time Mr. Keith allocated to the effort and most importantly the results, we found his price to be entirely reasonable. Terms were 50% at start which included the cost of materials and the balance on satisfactory completion. If you are considering a kitchen overhaul you would be well advised to contact Mr. Keith for his experience, advice and, if you're lucky, his services. <br />"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Cairo, GA

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
