Well, he said, probably all of the circuit boards are bad. You know if one goes they all go so $926 to fix it but we use rebuilt parts that do not last long so I would recommend not fixing it. So for $89 he read the code off the front of the machine which I had done myself and was why I called. He did not open the machine, hook up a tester, run it to see what it did. Just stood there looking at it then tossed out $926 to fix. Honestly, I had hoped for a little more than that. Was it a sensor? Was it a loose connection? I just figured there would be some tinkering. And if the code said it all, when I told them over the phone what the code was and the tech knew there was no hope in figuring it out why not just tell me over the phone oh that code is the end for your machine? Why drive out here, not look at it, and then tell me that code is death for your machine? Oh and to tell you that in person heres your $89 dollar invoice. If he had pulled it apart then I get it. He said he had not seen a Maytag Series 2000 in years. Well, its a 2013 model so 8 years old. For a Maytag that does not seem to be **crazy old**."
