"The consultant, Matt, was thorough and gave us clear explanations for the work that he saw needed to be done. In addition to simply adding insulation, he recommended sealing all air penetration points and other typical work that the builder hadn't done in 1998. The bid was detailed and provided on the spot--no waiting. He also provided a figure for upgrading from an R49 to R60, if we wanted to step up our game. The bid was within $700 of another contractor and about $2200 less than a third contractor, so it was a tough decision. We went with the cheaper bid because they gave us a senior discount and we liked their descriptions of materials they proposed using and their method for sealing air penetration points."

"Excellent company! We were so impressed with this company. We had another estimate for insulation to be added into my master bedroom/bath walls and my attic. Kyle did an excellent job explaining the process and what needed to be done in our attic. I learned things about the importance of proper insulation in the attic and even explained why we likely were having issues with excessive dust in our home. When our home was built they did not put baffles in place to allow proper air flow through the eaves. Insulation was covering the vents in the eaves and creating a very hot attic even in the winter. This was causing condensation to form in my canned lights and light bulbs to burn out regularly. Kyle explained the process so thoroughly that we actually were able to solve issues we were having in our new home that we did not realize were caused by inadequate ventilation and poorly placed insulation. The other company that we received a quote from did not even bother quoting the cost of having insulation blown into our walls. This actually was not as expensive as I thought it might be. The difference it made is amazing. Our walls sounded paper thin before this was done. Now it's quiet and feels much more comfortable. The installers were professional and also did a great job. They cleaned up after themselves and were pleasant to work with. I would highly recommend this company. They are top notch. If you want the job done right. They did not just come and blown in insulation into our attic. They explained why quality insulation and ventilation is important and how it will make a difference. I have already noticed a dramatic reduction in the amount of dust in my home. It would not have occurred to me that the excess dust we experienced in our home might actually be caused by inadequate ventilation in our attic. We are very pleased with the outcome."

I called them because they had a free inspection and quote and not only did he come in with a number way below what I expected he found an issue with a pipe and pointed it out to me! "We had problems finding a company willing to do a small section of composite siding, and even fewer who were capable of fixing problems we knew would be underneath. We needed to repair a portion of the back of a 2-story house. SRS came promptly to give an estimate, and was happy to repair as much or as little as we wanted. We went with Hardie board for the majority of the repairs. We had to wait a while for the repairs to be done because they were busy and it kept raining, but that is understandable and Brian from SRS kept us informed of the ETA. Oscar was the crew leader, and he is great to work with - friendly and professional, and made sure to keep us informed of everything that was going on. The problems we expected to find under the siding were worse than we anticipated, which led to them needing to repair water damage to the framing. Oscar showed us the damage, and we gave approval for the additional work and materials. This additional amount was less than we expected for such important repairs. That extra work set them back, and the team rushed to get to a point where they could wrap everything up securely for the night because rain was in the forecast. The partly-resided house survived a half day of rain just fine. Their second workday was also slowed down by unexpected work, but they were here for 10 hours that day and finished up the project within the estimated two days. The crew was polite and helpful. They left the work area just as they found it. They even did some things that we didnt expect (painting areas outside of the scope of their repairs, additional trim work). The new siding and paint looks great! We will definitely go to them again when we do more siding.

"AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"He really pushed for us to use the James Hardie siding, which is of very good quality.  But, he did not answer our questions.  In fact, he kept talking and repeating himself all while he was trying to show us pictures on his phone that was not working.  After 2 1/2 hours we told him we had to leave for another appointment.  Since they we 30 minutes late and kept talking, we had to re-schedule another estimate that day that was supposed to be done 1 1/2 later.
I appreciated being able to see the samples and some of the pictures, but I needed my questions answered.  He was just not knowledgeable enough and/or like to hear himself talk.  We were literally worn out when they left our house.
