"I used home advisor for several companies and decided to go with shore, construction and remodel. We could not be happier. We were contemplating either repainting or getting new cabinet doors and painting the boxes. I love my doors to my cabinets and really wanted to keep them , but was skeptical. Ron, the owner and Marcelo came over and talked to us, and assured us that we would be pleased, and I am so happy that we decided to paint them. They came out beautiful! l would highly recommend this company to anyone. They were prompt, took great detail, and care when taping and making sure everything was covered when they painted, and the outcome was absolutely gorgeous! I feel like I have a new kitchen. Please donâ t hesitate, because I truly feel I shouldâ ve done this years ago., I highly recommend this company. They are professional , show up when expected and finished earlier than we thought You will be happy with shore, construction and remodel"

"Just had Kevin and his crew do inside and outside painting, as well as replace a large section of ceiling drywall that was damaged due to a leak. They did an excellent job throughout, leaving the house spotless when they were done. Gustav was a pleasure to deal with, and he made sure we were happy with everything that was done. I would certainly recommend them to anyone who needs any kind of painting or drywall work done."

"I called Merryfield's Construction Group a few weeks ago about a gutter repair. My call was returned promptly and George came out within a day or two for an estimate. He gave me an estimate for a repair that was very reasonable. Since he didn't try to sell me on new gutters, which I saw as real honesty, I decided to ask for a price for all new gutters. I should say that I don't like trying to be sold on things that I don't ask for. Since he didn't do this, I appreciated it and decided to ask him about it. George looked over my home and gave me what I thought to be a very fair price for all new gutters and to remove and take away the old ones. I agreed on the spot and gave him a deposit. The company called within two weeks and set up a day for the install. The came on the day they said promptly, first thing in the morning. They completed the work in only a few hours. Cleaned everything up and took all the old gutters away. They did a great job and I wold recommend them to anyone in the future.

"Fair and honest estimates, great customer service, competitive pricing, and they stand behind their work; I can?t say enough good things about Frank and his team at Basement Waterproofing Etc.
A few months ago I had seepage from a wall crack that the previous owners of my home had apparently tried to fix themselves. As a new homeowner, I shopped around A LOT. I had representatives from several companies visit my home to provide estimates. Basement Waterproofing Etc was by far the best option. They pitched the more labor intensive corrective action at a price point closer to what some companies wanted for a quick patch job. As I mentioned the previous owners had tried a cheap fix, when that was removed there turned out to be more damage than was initially visible. Frank and his team took care of the whole problem. Even I could tell it was more work than we initially discussed, yet the price didn?t change.
After that initial experience, I recommended Basement Waterproofing Etc to anyone who would listen. A colleague had them out for an estimate on preventative work before finishing his basement. He thanked me for the recommendation immediately after having Frank in his home. We compared our experiences in detail. His estimate experience was very similar to my own, no hard sell and even some advice for small things I could do myself to save money. It was reassuring to hear the level of service and price quotes did not change even when the apparent affluence of the neighborhood did.
When the spring thaw and rains brought to light a different problem, I immediately called Basement Waterproofing Etc. Again, I received a prompt response. Service was arranged to fit my schedule and was completed at the, highly competitive, estimated price. It?s sad how rare it is to find contractors like this, but I am glad I did.

"I am very relieved! A day or two after my foundation crack was sealed a brutal storm occurred. I'm happy to report that there was not one drop of water in my basement."

"They were able to remove and cleanup all the mold and mildew stains and seal the areas where water was coming in. They replaced the porch drywall and the wood cover over the indoor planter. They painted the wood cover and the mildew stains in the basement. They sealed the backyard door to reduce the rain from coming into the basement. They also sealed cracks in the foundation and the porch window. The guys doing the work did a great job. it wasn't as neatly done as I would have wanted (paint droppings on the porch and basement) but I was happy with the work. I have asked them to come back to do some additional work in the basement to clean up cinder block bleeding. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing their services."

"I wrote a negative review of Rightaway after having a disappointing experience involving a ~$4k mold remediation+sump pump installation job, during which the firm broke a pipe and failed to repair it properly, according to two plumbers who came out afterwards. I noticed the problem a few months later when I rechecked the crawlspace after my backup sump pump battery alarm went off following some heavy rains. We had Rightaway out again that point (Al arranged the visit of one of his colleagues while he himself was on vacation) and were told by Al that we’d get an estimate for waterproofing the area as a second job. He also denied responsibility for what we believe was a poor repair job of the pipe. After a month of texts with Al, the owner, we hadn’t received an estimate. I should note that Al was very responsive via texts during this time and gave reasons for the delay. For example, he told me over text once that he did not have the right phone number or email address for us. After being solicited by Rightaway for a review on Angies list, I posted a very negative review and Al immediately contacted me and insisted he come out and provide us with another estimate. After I asked, he also agreed to reimburse us for the repair job we’d had done on the pipe; that repair had cost ~$300.00. Al then came out to the house. He told us he’d mail us the reimbursement, send us an estimate for a new waterproofing job, and give us references of people for whom the company had honored their warranty in the past. He emailed us the estimate that day and then mailed the check the following week. However, that next week, he said he didn’t want to provide us with a reference unless he was assured that we would go with his firm for the new job, because he didn’t want to bother past clients for a reference, essentially, that wouldn’t lead to another job. Over text, he said that if I was waiting for a reference to change my review on Angie’s List, then I should go ahead and leave up my initial negative review, and that he would then post all of our text exchanges because I was not being fair and honest. At this point I called him and he explained (as I just did) why he didn’t want to provide a reference. I told him I would change my review to reflect all of our communication since early February, and that’s what I’m doing now. Al is very responsive to texts and calls, and he seems very knowledgeable about his craft and plumbing. Indeed, when he came out to our house personally, he was very convincing and I was considering re-hiring him despite the prior frustrations. I am also impressed that he cares enough about his reputation to insist upon coming to our house, offering a solution to the problem, and reimbursing us for the cost we incurred repairing that pipe. However, based on our last exchange, regarding the texts and the lack of a reference unless we went with his company, I decided against rehiring the company. I've decided I'm not hiring any future new work without a very thorough reference review. As I’ve said, the firm is very responsive in terms of communication and seems to know their business; I would just not go with them again personally based on my experience."
