"Roger and his team showed up promptly as agreed set up scaffolding and fixed the wall.   Important note.  our house was built in the 1890s and the mortar joints are very thin and tinted red.  The repair matches the original work! They came the next day  cleaned up and took down the scaffolding.  The yard was cleaner than when they started! <br />"

"I had a broken corner brick in my siding. I could not find any brick repairman to come to repair it, until I contacted the Trilite Stone, Inc.. Len, at Trilite Stone, was super understanding and helpful to have my little brick repair project accomplished. He even personally performed a custom-made corner piece of the brick for the project. His charge for the service was very reasonable. Such a great customer service!!! I would recommend the Trilite Stone, Inc. to anyone with a small or big brick and stone repair project. Thank you very much, Len."

"We love our new windows, and we would highly recommend the company! Everything from the initial estimate/sales set-up through final installation has been so professional and well-done. We initially reached out a few years ago to get estimates on windows for the entire house (along with a few other companies), and with Craftsmen, we never felt pressured or like anyone wasted our time with an annoying sales pitch. We decided to wait, and we reached back out at the end of 2020 to get updated estimates. They still had all of our information and were very helpful and prompt at getting updated totals. We had some concerns with ordering (as it was in the early days of the pandemic) depending on regional closures or delays, and they were reassuring and flexible with our plan. During the installation process, everyone was so professional. Often with outside contractors, people default communicating with my husband, yet I'm the one coordinating, so it can often be frustrating, but that was absolutely not the case with Craftsmen. Everyone was very kind and respectful no matter who they were talking with. Besides just getting all of our windows replaced, we also had a large wall cut out and a custom window added, which we were a bit nervous how that would go with our stucco, and it turned out beautifully, and it was such a nice relief to know that no matter what - the crew would handle it. It was quite the undertaking and a very large investment from us, but it was so worth it for how beautiful everything looks inside and out and how seamless the process went."

"We used United Wall Systems to redo the front of our stucco home after woodpecker damage. John provided options based on his experience fixing the exact problem in the past. He was patient with my questions, explained his processes and was a great communicator. I would definitely use John and his team again and recommend to others. We are very happy with the end result."

"Mike did a beautiful job matching and replacing my leaning chimney to the roofline. The 100 yr old brick doesn't exist anymore and what he found to come close worked out perfectly. He's very honest ,detailed and really listened to me. He took excellent care to get things done right. Very tidy and even saved my beloved blueberry bush from peril ."

"We had a wonderful experience with Redstone Builders.  For years my wife and I had discussed the possibility of adding on to our home.  As we become more serious about doing the project, I learned a coworker of mine had just completed a project with Redstone and coincidentally there was a builder?s open house at his house the following weekend.  We went and inspected their 4 season addition and were pleased with both the design and quality of the workmanship.  My coworker had done extensive research on Angie?s list before selecting Redstone, and my subsequent research confirmed their high ratings and awards. <br /> We began our discussions with Redstone with some concept pictures we had pulled from the internet and some simple hand sketches I had made.  From there, the process was seamless.  Their team which included an interior designer converted our concepts into drawings and made a number of helpful suggestions along the way.  Our project consisted of a 14x18 foot 4 season room addition, and a 16x20 foot 3 season screened in porch with brick fireplace extending off of the 4 season room.  I found their bid to be reasonable and fair.  I also found that they consistently looked for ways to save us money throughout the project.  <br /> The project management was professional, the workers were conscientious, the interior designer was very talented and helped us navigate through choices from paint, stain, wood flooring, brick colors for the fireplace, and lighting fixtures for both rooms.  The interior designer made appointments for us and accompanied us to multiple showrooms as we made our selections.  Redstone dealt with the inspector, the various tradesman, landscaper, etc?we only had to interact with Redstone which made this easy. <br /> Simply put, their work is quality and their price was fair.  Throughout the project the communication was good and we felt we were in good hands.  We never had any worries.  They have a philosophy of building as if it was for their mother.  I can confirm that they take great pride in their work and in ensuring that the design is not only of quality construction, but that the style and flow of the space created both from a curb appeal standpoint and from the sense of interior space is something both you and they will be proud of. <br /> When the project was near completion we did a complete walkthrough of the addition with the Redstone team and they took note of anything we saw that needed attention.  Within the next week everything on the list was taken care of.  We have since received numerous compliments from neighbors and friends on what a compliment to our home the new addition is. <br /> Yes I recommend them, in fact I am considering a bathroom and kitchen remodel in the future and will definitely be calling Redstone. <br />"

"Scott's crew has further enhanced the patio they built.  Our wood deck had to be removed to build the stone patio which left unfinished walls.  Scott suggested stone veneer and once again created a fabulous look.  The stone on the walls really compliments the patio.  We are so happy with the entire project! <br />"

"Did a great job!  The concrete looks very neat and clean and matches the previous look with two low steps - risers as before.  They also helped level out the slab of sidewalk that was right next to the steps, otherwise, either the steps or the sidewalk would be crooked.  They did this by putting dirt and stabilizing the last slab next to the steps.  They dug out the area around, including my limestone shelf at city sidewalk level and put back.  Did a very nice job and were very patient with the fact that we spoke in June, but didn't decide on the work until September.  The old steps were in bad shape, and this really adds to the street appeal of my home."

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Carver, MN

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
