He was also very good at listening to our ideas and plans, and working collaboratively with us - we developed a high level of trust. "I think the finishing around the window could've been a little bit nicer. Our basement isn't really finished. It still the brick wall, cement wall.It just seems like it could've been finished off more than it was. They were quick. I didn't see a lot of debris or anything. I know sawing through cement can be messy but they seemed to be very clean and efficient. They were out here pretty quick. We checked around and they were very reasonable."

"The primary reason for re-landscaping the front (north) side of our home was because we were getting water in our lower level with heavy rains.  Since we had to correct the water issue, we decided it was also a good opportunity to give the front of our home a fresh and updated look. Josh Knutson, the owner of Dakota Landscaping, was not only extremely helpful in designing a plan for us, he went the extra mile to work closely with the company that was re-paving our driveway to ensure that all the grading around the house and toward the driveway was correct to direct water away from the house.  Dakota's work was tested within days when the Twin Cities received record rainfalls over a 3-day period.  We didn't have a drop of water in our house!  The whole Dakota team was outstanding.  The employees worked hard, were conscientious, careful, courteous and when I asked for some changes, they didn't hesitate at all.  I liked that the owner worked right along with his team and that their goal was the same as mine - that the job was done right and that we were happy with the end result. I would definitely recommend Dakota Landscaping to others."

"The gentleman who came was punctual and polite. He was easy to talk to and took into mind our thoughts. We had wanted a big sunroom but found that certain design constraints by the city were an issue. My negative experience was after the quote was generated. We never like to make a decision right away and want to talk about timing before making a decision. But this person and his boss kept saying, "What can we do to make you change your mind?" I got really mad about it because I would like to get additional information and quotes. I felt that making this type of push gave me a negative impression about their company, which i had a positive view of initially. I will post an update should we decide to move forward. I hope the company reviews this and makes an effort to be more considerate of potential customers.

"I purchased the deal from Angie's list for driveway seal.
I tried to get in contact with the company for two weeks after that!!!
I called, left messages, sent messages through Angie's list website, nothing got their reply.
Then I called Angie's list asking for their advise. They reached the company and after couple of days me leaving voice messages, they called back and scheduled the seal.
People calling are very nice and very knowledgeable.
They came on the day they promised and sealed the driveway. 
Edges were cleaned and they did a very clean job, no over-spray on the concrete and grass.
However, they left grass in the cracks, they did not seal the cracks with different material like they supposed to. They did not seal the join between driveway and curb at all, and the seal was so thin that all the spots from original driveway bled through.
Also the adhesion was not appropriate at all. I waited 4 full days to drive on it, and still there are tire marks and many scuffs.
They advertise it as if they are using professional product like on parking lots, but it seams that they uses a very cheap product.
I tried calling the company to request a fix, but again - no calls or messages were returned.
I am glad Angie's list was decent enough to refund me the money!

"Slow or non-existent customer service. Text messages to find the status of work not returned. Needs to give customers updates on when each phase of work was to be done. New cabinets installed but after a week no updates when plumbing, electrical and countertops would be done. My wife and I thought they forgot about us. Happy with the cabinets but the gentleman who installed them seems to have a attitude and didn’t have any customer service experience. (Meaning he didn’t really have interest in answering any questions.) All is well with the finished product Electrical and plumbing installers were good. Again, they need to work on their communications with their customers on the timeline to complete the work."
