"David gave me what I thought was a fair price for the work to be done. He asked for 1/2 up front. As a previous small business owner I did not feel this was unreasonable so I paid him 500.00. He estimated the work would take 3 to four days and I thought the same. After several no shows the "mason" showed up. The first clue was he came in a car. According to my wife he was here 2 hours and left, came back for another 2 hours the next day and left again. He said nothing to my wife about leaving or when he would be back. David called a day later to ask about coming out to look over the job and get the rest of the other 500.00. I said he isn't finished and he's only been here 4 hours. So then I looked up the prevailing wage in IL for a mason and found out it is 28.50 an hour. The next day the guy comes back for another 3 hours. David came to look at the work and I walked him around and showed him all of the places that had not been done. So the guy comes back again for about an hour. All told it was 8 hours work, nothing to write home about but it was agreed up front that I wasn't looking for an exposed brick look. I need it tuck pointed well enough so that I could drylock and paint the exposed brick. I will say this was done in the end. The worker left a mess that I and my wife had to clean up, I pointed this out to David as well. I told him I felt he was overly paid for the amount of work preformed and that was the end of it. It's really to bad. It's difficult to get contractors to do small jobs and I had plenty for him to do. I'm not unhappy, just would not hire again"

"The foundation wall developed a vertical crack and because of the rain in the week before Christmas 2012 I had my basement flooded and had water gushing through the crack, which was masked behind some drywall panels. 
I called American Crawlspace and the office made an appointment to have a tech come over and give me a quote.  They also gave me the cell phone of the tech, by the name of Larry, who promised me that if he can fix and if I agree to the price he will do it at the time of the first visit.
Sure enough, Larry came and gave me a good price, and after I had agreed to it he went to work right away.  He was professional, polite, and patient and answered all my questions.
What was even more reassuring is that he gave me a transferable lifetime warranty for the work that he performed.
I will definitely use them in the future should I have more problems of the same kind."

"We had Sal remodel our bathroom and where so pleased with the job we had them come back and replace our windows.  We had some cheap old windows and really wanted to upgrade to Anderson Windows. After doing some research Scott figured out a way for us to get Anderson windows. They were able to use new construction windows, which required them to remove the siding around the windows to install.  They did a wonderful job and we are so pleased with the results.  They saved us thousands of dollars using the new construction windows.  We got an estimate from Re-newal by Anderson and they said it wasn't possible and want to charge almost 10,000 dollars more for replacement windows.  So glad everything worked out the way it did! Thanks to SAL & his crew. "When I contacted AGAPE Construction and I had him come place a bid on my home he was not my first bid. Mike presented himself as a family man, who cared from the bottom of his heart about us as a customer. His bid was dead on with many of the other contractors I had come look at my home. He clearly explained what needed to be done, the process of what services were going to be performed, and when I could expect the job to be completed. There were no surprises at the end of our home remodel, which was amazing! I think mike went above and beyond what was expected. One example is our chimney cap that I absolutely love. He took his time and did it correct and it looks amazing! I have given his phone number to friends, family, and friends at church. I know they will all be given the same respect and courtesy he has shown my family and my home.
