"Of the three, only Hobson recommended replacing the window pane instead of the entire window, at substantially lower cost than we had initially anticipated. They also replaced the adjacent window pane at nominal cost while there, recognizing the potential risk that that seal, too, would likely go bad in the near future. They came when planned, performed exemplary work, and also applied a sun reflection film to the top of the window to reduce heat transfer to the interior. We had a minor issue with the glazing on the top pane in the garden window after the reflection film was applied - and the Hobson crew promptly returned to reglaze the window without incident. Throughout the process, communications were informative and timely, and we were thoroughly satisfied. If an award for outstanding work could be given to a service provider recognizing quality in absolutely all aspects of the project work, I'd give it to Hobson Window in a heart beat. Wonderful!"

"We have worked with Don and his team previously for a smaller project to replace cedar siding. He is very honest and fair and we like his work, so we already knew we would work with him on this project. Don helped us choose our windows and planned the project such that we could save all of the interior trim. He added window trim to the exterior, which really improved the curb appeal of our house. He also added a new design to the area underneath the new large bay window on the outside, which really looks great. In addition, he replaced a large segment of wood on the corner of our house that was previously repaired in several pieces. It was something that we hadn't noticed before, but it looks much better now. Don is very experienced and he has a great eye and design ideas. Don and his team led by Andrew were very punctual. Once the job was started, they worked consistently to finish it in a timely manner. Everyone was very courteous and skilled. This was a large project and the price was definitely fair for the scope of the work. We would absolutely recommend DF construction without hesitation. <br />"

"By far the best business experience I have had in a long time. Where to start, Paul the salesman was great, he came out for a quote no hassle. Looked at the roof and quoted me quickly. I told him I had another company I was comparing to and would get back to him. No pressure tactics. Communication was consistent and clear. Booked appointment and was able to have an install date within a week! Now fast forward to the install day. Kevin is the man (I assume foreman) was at the job 45 mins before his team was supposed to get there to go over everything with me. He explained what he would be doing and if anything throughout the day changed he would not only text/call but text pictures of everything. A few pieces of plywood needed to be replaced and Boom pictures came to my phone of where and the old pieces to see the damaged ones. He kept his word all the way to the point that i had a tree company coming to quote me on taking trees down and i received text messages from Kevin that they were there in the back quoting my other job. Lastly i had an old dish on the house which i requested to come off. Not only did they take the dish off and remove the wire but the Vines that were climbing up the lines one of his guys was ripping those out and off for me. All in all i can't say how impressed i am with this team. They truly went above and beyond and when you spend a good amount of money on companies to work at your home it can make you nervous on what type of outcome it will be. I have no doubts about this company and recommend if you ever need anything roof related to please contact them for your job. "I visited the showroom to see the various enclosure options. They were very helpful and provided insightful suggestions and recommendations. They patiently answered my questions and provided the pros and cons of each enclosure style. Once I selected the styles and options, they provided an estimate for both shower enclosures. When the general contractor doing the bathroom remodeling had each shower area ready, they measured for each enclosure, checked walls to ensure they were squared to the base and made adjustments in measurements to account for differences. The installations were scheduled and the installers arrived as arranged. They did an excellent job, working quietly and efficiently.  They protected the shower bases and bathroom floor tile as they worked. They carefully cut the Zodiaq quartz top to the shower bench to accommodate the channel for the glass wall. There have been no issues with either shower installation in the year and half since they were installed. <br /> I highly recommend working with Precision Glass and Aluminum. It was a pleasant experience, and the product and service were excellent. <br />"

"<p>These were the 5 upstairs windows on my house.  4 years earlier, Pella had installed similar windows downstairs and I had been very happy with the job.  Not so this time.  Initial installation in December 2014 was fast and seemed fine.  Later, however, I walked outside and realized the external cladding had not been caulked and was starting to separate from the frame.  I called the project manager who inspected the job, agreed with my assessment, and had the installer contact me to arrange to come and put it right.  He kept delaying the job because he was busy on other projects, and on one occasion failed to turn up when he said he would. When he finally came he and his assistant spent only 40 minutes on the entire job.  On checking I saw he had still only partially caulked the cladding.  The perimeter of the cladding, where it contacts the wooden frame was still not caulked, and rain could get in.  I compared the installation with the downstairs windows done earlier, so I could see how the upstairs ones should have been caulked.  When I showed the installer what he had not finished, he said if I wanted he would come back in the Spring and finish the caulking.  I told him not to bother, since I figured I could do a better job myself.  Pella needs to hire and train more professional people.  I purchased a premium product, but I received much less than premium service.</p> <p>This is a postscript, to report on action taken by the company as a result of my complaint.  The project manager returned to my house and confirmed that the outside cladding had not been installed to their standards.  The next day, a different installation team came, removed the cladding and replaced it with new material.  They were thorough, professional, and did an excellent job.  If I had received this level of service initially, I would have given an overall "A".  It is to Pella's credit that they returned to make good on the work.<br /> <br /></p>"
