"The office called me within 10 minutes of adding my request on Angi. There were able to come out same day and fix our drain. They also provided me with free plumbing inspection of the rest of the home. Zach was very profession and easy to work with. I would use them again."

"We are new to town, so we used Angie's list to find a mechanic.  We were very satisfied with David's shop and work and plan on using them next time one of our cars needs help. <br />"

"I had been trying to get my second car inspected after not driving it for most of the past year. First station I went to came up with a laundry list of items needing to be fixed to pass. I am fortunate enough to be able to do most of my own simple repairs, and smart enough to know when someone is trying to get one over on me. I made the legitimate repairs and went to another station for a reinspection. They approved the repairs but came up with new ones the first shop hadn't. Only one was legitimate. After making that repair I visited Herndon Auto Care after remembering I had a good experience there in the past and the inspector was sympathetic and intelligent enough to have a conversation with me about the repairs I had made and what the issues were with getting it passed. I felt like I was being treated with respect as a human, not as a woman with visions of a big repair bill dancing in front of their eyes. <br /> The car passed with flying colors, and he even took the time to walk me through what he saw and some of the regulations since I wasn't terribly familiar with the exact rules for Virginia. <br /> I will never again go anywhere else. <br />"

"After working on cars my entire life, I was numbed by the fact I had to actually find a transmission shop to replace my clutch after 128k miles. Since I just moved to the area a year ago and have no place to work on my car myself, I had to search for a reasonable shop. <br /> <br /> I went to CS as they were a preferred company through AAA. I went to several different shops to get estimates on replacement of my clutch since I was not able to switch gears at all while the car was running. I was provided with a reasonable quote that itemized labor ($720) and parts (~$450), something many other shops were unable to provide me with. Considering I had done my research and know what the costs of the parts were/should be allowed me to find the best mix of labor costs and experience with a shop. The origional quote I was provided with included the a higher end clutch kit which I did not want (about $450). They offered to replace it for me if I brought them a clutch kit, since I felt that cost for a clutch kit was way too high, the only issue that it would not be covered under their 12mo, 12k miles warranty. <br /> <br /> After many calls back and forth, we (myself and their contact) realized that the part they were quoting me was a racing clutch instead of an OEM replacement. After getting several part #s from them, we got this straightened out and was able to get the strict OEM replacement for $245. I decided to go this route, although I was able to find the kit online for cheaper, because everything would be covered if something went wrong (ie defective part, etc it does happen). Their labor rate was very competitive as compared to other shops which is why I continued to pursue them to perform this work for me. Many other shops were quoting me about $1000 for labor alone, or not providing itemized estimates. I decided to go with CS. <br /> <br /> I was able to do a night drop on Sunday evening so they could start work on Monday morning. This was very convenient and easily done. The total job took them about 4 days (I got my car back on a Thursday), a little longer than I expected. Throughout the job, I called to check up on the progress and was provided updated by the shop as well. They communicated everything that was being done and did not do anything without my permission. Even after their initial evaluation, they called to get permission to take the clutch apart and check the grining noise coming from it. I was told what was wrong. <br /> <br /> I did not encounter any unexpected costs and the labor costs did not go up even though they had my car for 4 days and was provided with a AAA discount. All in all, I was pleased with the transaction. About 100 miles later no issues and shifting like a charm. I would recommend the shop, however I would also recommend doing your own research about the costs of parts, how long the job should take, etc to be informed. <br /> <br />"

"They did come out to the house, and we did use them. They were alright. They were about five hours out the time frame that they were supposed to be here, which did not sit well with me. We didn't have a choice at that point. It was all acceptable. The only problem I had was the fact that they were real late."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Charlotte Hall, MD

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
