"They arrived promptly when expected and executed the work to my complete satisfaction. The injection holes for the lifting foam don't stand out too badly and they only had to drill a few of them. The sidewalk was lifted to its proper height. After the lift, the sealing was applied and coated with quartz sand, more attractive than the original black material."

"From the initial phone call to the completion of the job Quality 1st provided top notch professional service. A couple points which makes this easy to write. Communication is key whether in person or via telephone and Q1 was exceptional in this regard at every point. Telephone conversations with customer services was pleasant and cordial, never rushed or snotty. Paul our salesman was here for quite a while answering questions and assessing our needs in the basement. Of only was he on time for our appointment he was about 10 minutes early too. The cost of this project was a good chunk of change for us but after too many times of shop-vac’ing water we knew it was time to bite the bullet and move forward with making life a little easier and not have the issue of when will we get water in the basement again hanging over our heads. I was impressed that Quality 1st uses their own products and has their own R&D facilities. As for the installation, enough cannot be said for the crew that was here. I got the call at 9am they would be here in 20 minutes and at 9:20 they were backing in my driveway. I met the foreman Mario and his 2 helpers. We went into the basement and they looked around and asked if I had any questions. We had almost everything out of the basement and what was left they covered in plastic. By 9:50am they were running the jackhammers. We have a 1,500 sqft ranch and these guys worked all day, they didn’t stop and worked their tails off. I can’t remember exactly when the jackhammer stopped but by 2 pm the channel was dug out and they were beginning to lay out for the channel that carries the water to the sump. About 4pm Kyle showed up to assess the job and see if I had any questions or concerns. We spoke about the job and we went downstairs to see the progress. He stayed on site for about 45 minutes after making sure I was comfortable with how the job was going. By 5:15 or so the job was completely finished. Before they left Mario went over everything regarding the sump system. As far as cleanup, this is a dusty job. Concrete dust is ultra fine and they did a fantastic job of not only sweeping but they also dusted off areas which were not covered in plastic. They left no mess to speak of., I was very satisfied with their work and attention to detail. It’s easy to nitpick any job at anytime and there is nothing I would call them out on. Finally as for the functionality of the sump system I wish I had a comment on that at this time. We’ve lived in our house for 25 years and until around Thanksgiving of this year (2018) we’ve only had water about 4 times. Between Thanksgiving (2018) and New Years (2019) we got slammed 4 times and nothing since. With the symptoms of how our basement got water, I feel comfortable with the system Quality 1st installed and am confident they will stand behind their work and warranty. We’re also happy this is transferable to the next homeowner when we sell the house and it is an excellent selling point when the time comes."

"Basement in our 1960's home had been leaking water for years and we finally made the decision to get it fixed for good. We're really happy we went with Down Under Waterproofing. They explained that a new french drain system with two sump pumps would stop our water concerns in the basement. Once a date was set, Walt and his team were on time and completed the job in the 4 day estimate that was given and our basement has been dry ever since. Down Under gave us the best price and did exceptional work. They've also been easy to contact after the job was complete for any questions we've had. I would highly recommend!"

"Anthony and his company did a wonderful job. I was extremely impressed with his professionalism and responsiveness. He was always available when questions needed to be answered. He always showed up on time and whenever he said he would. My kitchen was a challenge (old house - not level) and he did a wonderful job addressing those issues. I would highly recommend Anthony and his company."

"We were walked through the permitting process which was great since we did not have the experience for that. Work commenced as scheduled. Job site kept clean and neat as the debris was taken away. The porch as rebuilt and the brick and stone steps applied. The board between the old porch and the house had deteriorated and needed to be replaced. New flashing was applied and then a long lasting material applied. We were happy that that the Company had the skill to do it. Final inspection was scheduled. <br /> <br /> Not only was the work fantastic, but we were guided towards the materials that made the porch and steps really more than we thought we could have. Would recommend them hightly."

"John and his wife are extremely professional and thorough. John came and spent much time climbing on our roof inspecting it. He was very pleasant and we would definitely contact him in the future for other jobs. Unfortunately we chose another roofer but it was a difficult choice. <br />"

"The design of the tile went very well.  There were lots of cuts,  and we were very happy with the way the tile turned out.  We did not like the fact that the job was never completed.  The price included saddles for the areas where the kitchen floor meets the Living room, and where the kitchen floor meets the Family room.  This was never completed.  We have tried to call Lay It Down, but we get no response.  The floor has been done for over a month now, and they still have not come back to finish.  So basically it makes the entire area look bad. <br />"

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Clinton, NJ

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
