"I wanted someone to check my roll-up garage door because it seemed to be getting louder than ever. I read reviews on Angie’s List, Google, and Yelp. I called Garage Door Medics because they had the most highly rated reviews. Flora answered my phone call; she was very nice and professional. I was able to get a date/time period that worked for me. I also told Flora that I had a coupon from Angie’s List & she said they would honor that. On day of appointment, Eric called to tell me he could be at my address within 15 minutes which was great for me. He looked at my garage door & started to work. As he worked, he showed me where to grease the rollers, hinges, etc. He also showed me where to grease the door opener screw drive. He told me which products were best for the door & gave me a recommended schedule to perform this activity myself. He also informed me that my door (Wayne Dalton brand) had a unique spring configuration. He told me what to expect if/when it did break. He did not try to up-sell me on anything. "Chris was friendly, professional, and very informative. I'm glad I went with his business to repair my garage door. Last night one of the cables on our garage door unspooled and the door became unbalanced and then lodged into the rails. I gave him a call at 8am this morning and he was able to make the drive up to Lakewood to check it out by 11:45am. He assured me the door itself was still in good shape, he just needed to get the door dislodged, replace some hinges and cables, straighten the existing railing, and recommended I replace the springs as they were looking a little worn out. I didn't feel pressured into the spring replacement in any way, but as neither of us knew how old they really were, I decided to go for it since he was already here. He gave me a price that I felt was very reasonable and he immediately went to work. It took him less than an hour and a half to get everything done, and he even replaced some bearing plates at the top of the door that weren't installed properly. The garage door is now straightened out in its rails and opens and closes very smoothly. Chris let me know exactly what he had to do and still stuck to his estimate even with the added bearing plates.
