It's not easy finding a small service business and sometimes you have to experience not so qualified company's or unprofessional in the way they perform their jobs.  We had a problem with in hiring Lee's a few weeks ago, but after talking to someone DIRECTLY affected by a lost customer or a possible new one, it seems the misunderstanding was based on incorrect information passed along.
In any case, we were able to get our unit serviced and inspected for the summer, but what WE GOT was much more.  The contractors were respectful and professional and the job they did was thorough.  This is the basis of doing business and of hiring a service company to do business with and anything less should be discussed with the people that speak for the company.  I am glad my business was important to Lee's, because in Fresno, if you don't live in the parameters or area's that have money growing in tree's, it can be difficult to find Responsible Small Service Businesses to hire.

"A pleasant experience from start to finish. The quoting process was a good two-way discussion, and cordial - no pushy salesman telling you how bad Company X or Y was. Just honest, factual, and straightforward. They quoted us a system with the panels, racking, and inverter which we wanted, not what they were pushing. The quote wasn't the best (hence the 'B' for price) but it did offer the best VALUE when we considered the equipment specification and the stability of the company - an important consideration when looking at a system with a 25 year life! The installation was scheduled by our coordinator, Sherry, and the team showed up when promised and got the job completed on time. Quality of workmanship was first rate and the entire installation was done with care, and tidied away before the team left. Permitting and PG&E inspection were all handled by Sherry, and that was also quick and flawless. "AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
