"We bought a roof maintainence package on Angie's list from Roofing USA. We were in the process of selling our house and the inspector had found some roof shingles that needed replacing and places that needed resealing in order for us to pass inspection. We needed to have this done immediately and Roofing USA was very responsive! They came and looked at the roof and we're back the next morning to complete everything on the inspector's list. The repairs cost more than the maintainence package because of the size of the roof and the extra things on the list, but it was well worth it and just all part of selling the house. ?

"Sergio arrived punctually and analyzed the materials he would need for the repairs. He went to a local near-by hardware store and purchased the necessary sheet rock, which I paid for as it was an extra item. In order to get at the damage, he had to pull off a large 4x4 section of peg-board that itself had been torn. We discussed what might be done to replace,the peg-board but made no decision at that time. I left him to do the work, but when I returned, he had removed the peg-board so carefully that it could be remounted and used again, over the now completely repaired and re plastered damage! He also had spied a crack in the garage ceiling that I had overlooked, and repaired it with tape at his own initiative! Impressive work! I would call upon D&R again for this kind of repair. They also do other kinds of construction work, such as replacing cracked sidewalk or worn driveways."

"I had a tight schedule, which Kevin and Kerry met very well. Before starting to paint, they had to clean and do basic patching of holes, etc., which they did well. Because I was using bold colors, a few coats had to be applied. They coordinated the timing between rooms to accomplish this -- well organized. When bold colors joined a corners, they did an excellent job keeping a straight line. Of course, with any project, there unexpected things come up, which we discussed and I usually went with their suggestions, since they made the most sense. In most cases, these adjustments did not effect the original estimate. But when it was necessary, they continued to be reasonable in their pricing, which I felt from the get go. I had gotten a few other estimates that were going to take longer and cost more but I felt Kevin and Kerry could do what they said, and they did. It's a year later, and everything still looks great. Highly, highly recommend Kevin and Kerry."

"I contracted Just Stucco to re-stucco my entire house after getting quotes from 4 places. It wasn't cheap, but the quotes from different companies were all in the same ballpark. This is the post-COVID reality. The owner/supervisor was very confident of his price and his company's craft -- there was no pressure sales tactics or mind games at all, which gave me confidence. Indeed, the work went exactly the way he described it would go, with no delay or any cause for anxiety on my part. Halfway through I asked him to also repaint my garage door and water drainage; they gave me a reasonable price for that, and the foreman even painted faded areas I didn't have time to ask him to do. Overall I was very satisfied. One always have to wait a bit to see how the new stucco withstand the New Mexico weather, but I don't anticipate problems. "Mr. Velarde is a true craftsman. He knows old buildings and how to fix them. I feel I can trust him in my home alone. I have hired him to do other projects and advanced him funds for materials. The only negative I have with Mr. Velarde is his being on a time schedule. If you are a "New York" type Mr. Velarde may not be the best match. But if you want a job done right I would recommend Mr. Velarde."

"We needed someone to install tile around the bathtub at an apartment unit we own. Joey at 2 Daughters Handyman came to the rescue. He quoted us a fair price based on what we could see. However, once he started the work other complications were discovered such as mold behind the existing wall. Joey and his crew were able to take care of each issue and charged us a fair amount for the extra work performed. We were very impressed with his willingness to get the job done in a timely manner. He even went to two or three places on his own to find the tile we wanted. We will definitely use 2 Daughters again and would recommend them to anyone needing his services.
