"Our hot water heater began leaking from inside of the unit.  The existing unit was very old and needed to be replaced.  After researching Angie's List, I made a purchase for a replacement hot water heater with Henson Mechanical HVAC and Plumbing.  Henson Mechanical reached out to me later that day to schedule my replacement, and to verify information about my existing setup.  They were able to send an installer out the very next day.
Prior to his visit, Kurt Schmeisser called to inform me that he would be the person to install the new water heater.  Kurt was prompt, and extremely professional.  During the removal of the old unit, and the installation of the new unit, Kurt made sure not to damage anything in my house.  He made sure to put down plastic over runs of carpet in my basement to ensure that it was not soiled.
Since it is now code, Kurt installed an expansion water tank.  This was included in the initial purchase price of the unit, and was not an unexpected and added expense.
Before he departed, Kurt showed me how to manipulate the temperature of the tank.  He then demonstrated how to ignite the pilot light if there was ever a need.
Through the entire process, Kurt was very polite and professional.  I would consider using Henson Mechanical HVAC and Plumbing for future projects.

"They guy who came is a master plumber and he is skilled.  He can do what other plumbers just don’t do.  He can figure things out which others just can’t figure out.  I had 20 plumbers who came to fix my water problem because it didn’t get hot and we could not take a shower. Then he came and was able to fix the problem.  When my toilet was overflowing, he did some pipe repairs and it worked.  Now, my toilet looks wonderful and beautiful."

"Franklins crew arrived as schelduled and after inspeccting the pipes and septic system, determined it was NOT the main drain but merely a busted tub drain that had been damaged during a recent remodel. While there they replaced a p-trap, jetted the lines, emptied the septic tank and replaced the busted pipe. Their crew was AMAZING! They knew exactly what they were doing and didn't go out of their way to break the bank. The work was done in a timely manner and I was notified about each repair or procedure in real time via text or photos or call. I was in utter shock that I had been so bamboozled by such a trusted big name national plumber on my 1st estimate and will NEVER use another Septic Specialist/ Plumber unless it is Franklin's. Twice the work for less than half the original estimate and the work was honest and superior. I could not wait to write this review! It is so rare especially as a woman, to find honest contractors. I would highly recommend this company for all your septic and plumbing. There's a certain peace of mind that comes with knowing a company comes with good marks. "Called about leak Sunday morning. Plumber came out Monday, determined it needed replacement and notified Choice, who approved claim and permitted plumber to order new water heater. Thursday new water heater was installed. Was kept updated every day by both Choice and the plumber. Workers left my garage clean and I have hot water. Very satisfied and have recommended Choice Home Warranty on the Nextdoor app."

"The salesperson was clear (mostly) and the work was done on time and well -- finished in one day and cleaned up very well. My one caveat is that the salesperson clearly stated that the work would be done by a local contractor, which was, I guess, technically true, since it looks like a local contractor subcontracted to a group of men (Polish or Russian) who drove up from Chicago and did the work. I was led to believe it would be done by local workers so that was a bit off-putting"
