"Actually came out twice to replace multiple aging faucets. Some of the faucets caused some issues due to corrosion, but the team charged what they quoted the job at originally. Very clean and very respectful. they gave different solutions to the problems and didn’t try to push me in either direction. Would hire them again for a tough job. Thank you."

"This business knows their business! They deliver great customer service and technical services. They clearly explain all the options to you for fixing your issue and provided me with all the answers for questions about my projects to include of course the cost. I will not hesitate to call ALCO for resolving any issue at my home which they provide service repairs for. I have complete trust in the team I have dealt with, from Jessy who takes your call, Jake or any tech that handles the work performed, to the owner Austin who guarantees the work. Great operation and good people. Give them a call if needed, you won't regret it!"

"Outstanding business!!! Very professional and knowledgeable. Technicians came out diagnosed the bad well pump and failing pressure tank quickly, and were able to start work the same day. The guys worked late to ensure that we got our water back running after being out for 2 day over the holiday, and even improved our pressure and flow over what it had been. I couldn't be happier with their work. Christian, Josh, Tom, Jared, and the owner were all very easy to work with and went to great lengths to ensure that everything was done not only quickly, but correctly. They really care about their customers and take pride in the work that they do. Highly recommended!!!!"

"I sincerely did not have a problem with the professional service per se, the technician was professional prompt on time, and knew what he was doing. On Dec 9, 2020, it took him about 30 minutes to figure out the problem and found the unit is still under warranty. He ordered the part and told me once the part is received, I will be contacted to schedule replacement. I called the office they did not call me. They were quick in responding and replaced the part on Dec 19. Cost is my main issue. They wanted $119.95 for diagnosis fees which WILL NOT be considered a part of the final repair fees. I believe it’s not a good business not to tell the client beforehand how much you will charge as service fees, they did not. Only after they diagnosed it. After a discussion with the technician, he talked to the office and the service fee was forfeited. The part replacement cost was $403! It took less than 30 minutes, 25 to be exact, to replace. Not sure how the rate of this charge is justified. I was told about the $403 charge right after the first visit but did not have a choice at that point. With all due respect, I understand, as explained to me, they have more overhead budget more than mom and pop shops. I still believe this total repair should not have been more than $250 at the most."

"I had a pipe burst in the basement of our rental property, Flood Crew was referred by our realtor. They arrived quickly after the pipe was fixed by our plumber, demoed, and dried out the areas, even handled packing out our furniture and placing carefully in a pod storage while the work was being done. They did mold testing and made sure everything was safe, the best part was that they dealt with the insurance and we didn’t have to do anything."

FAQs for faucets, fixtures and pipes repair or replace projects in Colonial Beach, VA

You can absolutely install an outdoor mixture tap outside your home. An outdoor mixer tap blends hot and cold water before it leaves the spout, giving you a steady temperature for rinsing produce, washing hands, or spraying down patio furniture. As long as a plumber runs both hot and cold supply lines and insulates them against freezing, a mixer outside performs just like the one in your kitchen.

Outdoor faucet handles come in twist, lever, or knob varieties, all designed to stand up to the elements while giving you precise flow control. They’re built from tough materials yet offer the same comfort and ease of use as indoor faucets. Ask your plumber for a selection and for recommendations on the best option for your needs.

Start by pinpointing the leak—often it’s a worn washer, a loose packing nut, or a damaged gasket. If it’s salvageable, replace the faulty part; otherwise, you may need a new faucet. Always turn off the water before starting repairs, and test thoroughly when you’re done to confirm you’ve stopped the leak.

You can protect your outdoor faucets during the winter months by shutting off the water supply to the outdoor faucet before freezing weather arrives and by always disconnecting any attached hoses. You can further safeguard your outdoor faucets against ice by insulating the pipe and installing a basic faucet cover.

An outdoor faucet can last 20 years, though budget models may wear out in 10, and high-end ones can push 30 or more. Proper installation, routine upkeep, and careful use help you get the most life from any spigot. Ask your plumber for maintenance and care recommendations to get the most from your outdoor faucet.

Replacing an outdoor spigot yourself might work if you’re handy, but a professional plumber guarantees code compliance, reduces the risk of water damage, and offers peace of mind. If you’re not sure about soldering or local regulations, it’s best to hire a licensed plumber for a lasting fix that you can feel confident in.
