We are a small residential general contractor licensed in Oregon offering a variety of carpentry services indoor+outdoor. \n\nOur professional background was largely in finish carpentry services working for well established companies in the industry: all door types, closet systems, railings, hardware and a variety of millwork ranging from baseboards, door casings, window casings, handrails, crown molding, etc. If it was made from wood and is inside your home, we did it.\n\nWe do outdoor work as well ranging from fences, decks, exterior doors/trim, etc.\n\nOur time in the trades taught us there is a right way and a quick way to do things and the RIGHT WAY is what we are most passionate about. "Overall, the project went very well. Mark was great to work with - he totally got the vision for the bathroom update. The work involved moving plumbing, moving electrical, replacing a window, replacing the tub, retiling the shower, retiling the floor, putting up drywall, installing a new countertop Travis is a wizard with a tile saw, and I must say that the quality and workmanship; is unmatched. While the bulk of the work was being performed, Mark & Travis were right on point - it was great to see progress being made every day. They were also totally respectful of the living space and in general, great guys. If there's a sour note in this symphony, it's that the last 5% of the job (installing the window, minor finishing touches) took about as long to complete - 4-5 weeks - as the major work did. The project started in July 2015 and wrapped up in early October, though the bathroom was totally functional (i.e. 95% done) by Labor Day. After Labor Day it was difficult to get in contact with Mark and schedule the final work; a situation in which I think any customer/contractor might find themselves in at the end of a project, as I imagine he had other jobs to ramp up and manage during that time."

I exchanged emails and pictures in advance of my appointment, and got some details about what to expect including the names of both workers. The workers arrived a bit early (so much better than late:-), I showed them what I needed, and one person started the work while I went to the hardware store with the other fellow to purchase the materials needed.

There was one drywall project that I thought would require an expensive repair. Instead, they fixed it easily and I was thrilled. 

They fixed a crooked cabinet in my kitchen that had been driving me crazy.

 They replaced door trim and added baseboard trim to several rooms, including the kitchen. After they left I discovered that they'd actually moved the refrigerator and put trim on that portion of floor too! I didn't even think to request this and was so happy to see it. Clearly, they take their work seriously and wanted to do the best job possible, but this was above and beyond and I'm so happy!

I'd purchased a block of hours at a discount from Angie's list, and they finished my tasks a few minutes early. So they offered to do a few other minor things instead of packing up immediately. Wonderful!

I am so very pleased with this company. I would absolutely use them again and would recommend them to anyone. The work they did for me was simple, but given the level of quality and attention to detail, I'd trust them with something larger without hesitation.

"I cannot speak highly enough of Tom and Brad Green of Colonial Restorations. We have lived in our antique house for 16 years now, and like most old homes, some of its previous repairs were good, some not so good. Tom Green worked on this house for its previous owners, and his work was, by far, the best in the house. So, we continued to use Colonial - Tom, then Tom and Brad - as we learned the ropes about caring for an old house - our first house, old or new. Over the years, they have replaced sills and posts and beams, and rebuilt parts of our loose stone foundation. Most recently, they replaced the last original posts in our basement, (one of which was a tree trunk still with bark on it), including pouring new custom footings, in advance of our finally cementing the dirt floor. The work here is never easy - nothing is level, nothing is square - but the Greens' end result has always been beautiful - strong and made to last. Their prices are fair and without hidden costs....maybe not the lowest bid you might get, but you know it's a real bid that they will stand behind. They triage projects for us, giving us an idea of what other items will likely need attention in the next few years. We're not done with this house yet....we've never won the lottery, and there's always another repair..... and plan to use them again soon. I feel confident knowing that the next owners of this house, whoever they might be, will see the quality of the work and know that we cared enough to have the right people help us with the ongoing repair and maintenance of a 275+ year old house. I am a real person, a real customer, with no ties to the company, and was more than happy to write this review."

"We hired Western Builders Inc. for our bathroom remodel and they transformed it into a beautiful warm space filled with finish trim details and lighting, The remodel was quite heavy, needed lots of structural repairs from water leaks in the past the floor was collapsing in some areas, needed new plumbing, electrical, all the fixtures bigger window, added dividing wall with pocket door and lots more, they exceeded our expectation, We are absolutely thrilled with the result and grateful for the excellent work and commitment, Sam the owner and Bill the onsite foreman are just a pleasure to work with, and their crew were very respectful and careful of our home during remodel, They adhered to the schedule and budget everything went like clockwork.
