"Replaced an old galvanized drain pipe with new, larger PVC, vented, rerouted, and connected to existing sanitary piping located below ground. All done as expected. Plumbers were courteous, professional, informative, and left the areas affected neat and clean. I would use again, and recommend to others."

"Great! Technicians were professional and (a plumbing first!) on time. They communicated when they were on their way and were thorough in explaining the work. The invoice was very detailed, allowing me to know exactly what services were performed. Impressed by the two apprentices, who were eager to learn, and the primary technician, who was a terrific teacher."

"Got exterior spigot capped (fixed) along with capping another and replacing two Tigers. Also fixed leaking toilet , two dripping fawcets, and a leaking sink drain. They were prompt, knowledgeable, and straightforward with solutions, prices, and estimates of future plumbing needs. They were the opposte of high pressure sales people, focusing instead on the actual problems and their solutions. Their pricing was less than any other estimates i received. The entire event left me with hope that there are still reputable professionals out there."

"I found water leaking under my kitchen cabinets and could not identify the source of the leak. Called Ron and he came promptly at the agreed time (he was even early and had to wait on me to get there). He found right away that the mystery leak was from the ice maker pipe. He repaired it and left it better than it was to start with. Very professional and courteous. Will call him again if there is a need for plumbing service. <br />"

"They sent out two guys. One did the pressure test on the plumbing which all checked out OK. Another guys was actually in the pool looking around for leaks and doing and quot;dye testand quot;. <br /> He patched some liner leaks, but the really BIG LEAK was behind the pool light. <br /> They repaired and came back in a couple days to re-install the light. Well, the light didn't sit in there quite right and they asked us what we thought. We asked them to come out again and see if they could seat the light back in there better. <br /> Well, they did and we couldn't be more pleased. <br />"

"The service went great.  The Technician was very professional and politely answered all of our questions - even several from our 5 year old.  He cleaned the dryer itself and vent pipe with a Shop Vac.  However, our vent pipe turns up and exits out of our attic.  So, he came back with a device that attached to an air compressor  and would "run" the full length of the vent pipe.  He put the compressor outside and ran a long air hose into the house to minimize the noise.  He snaked the device into the vent until no more lint fell.  He then vacuumed up the lint from the vent pipe until everything was nice and clean. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Columbiana, AL

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
