"Jason Payseur, this review is specifically for him. We had some issues with our fairly new heating unit. It looked like a puzzle that could not be solved. For some of us people that have been around , we know an old school knowledgeable mechanic when we see one . I will tell you that when Jason shows up at your door? know this, that is exactly what you are getting. Jason is polite, friendly, communicative and most of all, knowledgeable in solving riddles. Horne HVAC should be extremely thankful and grateful that they have Jason to represent and be the face of their company. He is the person that goes out and makes it happen. If I were the owner, I would give Jason a couple of days off paid or better yet even a raise. I say this because he is on the front line. He is the face of this company and he is the person that solved our riddle. So when people call this company and they get Jason at their door they are getting an encyclopedia of knowledge and a ton of experience that gets the job done and that's what keeps these companies going. If you're in need of any type of repair or problem solving , ask for Jason and don't forget to let someone know what a great experience you've had because that's what keeps them going. Someone recognizing their talents and letting others know. Thank you Jason!"

"Contacted company 1week prior to arriving at our vacation condo. Appt was kept on time. When I spoke to initial Person in scheduling the appointment there was no talk about a service call fee. When the technician arrived as he was very courteous I was told there was an $89 service call fee even though they did not have the parts to repair or replace the AC cover.I was told it would take 7 to 10 days to order and at that point they would pass on the project. The technician also told me that it felt hot inside the condo as it did feel a little warm I assumed it was normal As it was early in the morning and as the day went on I assumed it would get hotter and I will have to adjust the AC according to the temperature outside. as we have a home warranty with our property I decided to call them and schedule an AC tech to come out which would ve cost me $100. I made the appointment with them which is my home warranty company they came out and showed me that the breaker for the AC was turned off. There went $100.Whether it was intentional or not I was pretty upset as I for sure was not the one who turned it off.🤔 yet the Day before there was never an issue with my AC. I stated to the technician that I was never told about an $89 service call fee, he contacted the owner and they waived it.I then gave the technician a $20 tip and thanked him for his time. And a little upset at the situation but I m glad I was smart enough to know to contact my home warranty company.Would I call them again...NO"

"I guess the price alright. It's about what we paid in Charlotte with another company, maybe just a tiny bit less. But I guess it's the what the prevailing rate is. We had somebody else to do the work, and they didn't do; and we paid them more. We have signed up to use them for our maintenance service for the furnace and air conditioner."

"Alex gave me a quote for a new system 2 years ago but I have been trying to hold out on replacing it. I saved his info as he was so professional and seemed very honest. I had to replace both units last week and I can't begin to tell you the incredible job that they did! I was so blown away by their professionalism and the quality of their work. It is sometimes hard to find honest and skilled contractors but this company met and exceeded all of my expectations! The owner Sean is also one of the best I have ever worked with! Thank you for an amazing job!! I will definitely recommend your company to anyone in need of service!"

"I called and Mike returned my call quickly and set up a date.  He came and checked the air conditioner.  He did not try to convince me it needed any else other than a check up.  Was quick and efficient and mannerly.  I would certainly use him again even for more serious repairs. <br />"

FAQs for central a/c service or repair projects in Concord, NC

A condenser fan motor is a crucial part of your air conditioner that prevents the compressor from overheating. It pulls heat from your AC unit to cool the refrigerant moving through the condenser coils. This allows your system to blow cool air and keeps everything running smoothly.

The most common causes of AC fan motor failure include loss of lubricant in the system due to overheating and a rusted or leaking run capacitor. Poor lubrication can also cause failure in the belt drive, which may impact the AC fan motor. Weather and electrical components can also affect your AC. For example, a storm could send water into your motor windings and damage the internal components.

Air conditioner fan motors last about 12 years on average, though they can last longer if maintained well. This includes keeping them clean and cooled as needed with annual air conditioner checkups. Routine maintenance is essential to catch AC fan issues early. An HVAC inspection can cost between $70 and $500, while AC cleaning services may range from $100 to $400.

A broken AC fan motor may need replacement because this part usually can’t be repaired. Several things indicate it’s time to replace your AC fan motor, including buzzing noises, a constantly running fan, unusually high energy bills, or an aging system. If you notice these signs, call an HVAC pro for help before the faulty motor starts to strain other parts of the AC system.

There are clear warning signs of a bad AC fan motor, including unusual interruptions in the fan operation. The motor might be malfunctioning if you hear weird noises like grinding or rattling or if the fan continues to spin when the unit is off. These indicators compromise your AC’s cooling performance and increase your energy costs. Addressing these issues immediately by contacting a trusted HVAC professional prevents further damage and safeguards your HVAC's efficiency.

Replacing your AC fan motor takes a professional one to four hours. The technician will start by assessing your system and safely removing the damaged motor. If a new part needs to be ordered, it might take a few days. Once the part is available, your pro will install it properly and make sure your system is running smoothly.
