"***SCAM ALERT*** My daughter received a coupon in a mailout from this company.It had "free service call $65.00 value! " written on it. So she called them , and a worker came to her home. He told her that he could replace the garage door, but that it would be $360 plus $180 for labor PLUS the $69.00 "free service call" ( a total of over $600.00!!). She said that was too high, and he then said would NOT leave the premises till she gave him $69.00 for the "free service call". She was upset by his attitude, and gave him the $69.00 for the "free service call" just to get him off her property. Later, upon calling the manager ( Emily,if i recall), I was told that the free service call was only with a repair contract(and it is in VERY tiny print on the coupon). She said if we paid the $360 for the new door, they would credit that toward the labor charge of $85.00 per hour. She told me it can take a couple of hours or so to put on the door. So now we have an additional charge of around $100 (the 2 hours at $85.00 each minus the $69.00 "credit" she was forced to pay to get the worker to leave.) This is a company that obviously targets women, in order to intimidate them into these unfair payouts when they receive nothing in return. My daughter was just told she "needs a new garage door", and charged her $69.00 just for that, and nothing else! If you want to do business with a company that will scam you, give this group a call!"

Identified the problem, explained in detail what he needed to do to repair the door. Miguel did an exceptional job. "The services with A2Z Garage Door was exceptional.  Our garage door was sagging on one side - about 2-3 inches lower than the other side. When I called for service, they let me choose the time frame when I wanted them to come - I chose that afternoon and they gave me the time between one and three.  They arrived around 2:00.
John, the service man, said the problem was that the cable on one side was unraveling.  When he took it off he showed me that it was in very bad shape, and said we are lucky that my husband saw the problem before it could have snapped and hurt us. The other side was worn, but not in as bad of shape.  He also replaced the rollers, so the door goes up and down smoothly and he rebalanced the door.  He didn't have any rubber to weatherstrip the bottom of the door, so said he'd stop by the next day to finish the job.  However, his son arrived about an hour and a half later, and had the weatherstripping replaced in minutes.
What seemed like a big crisis in the morning, is a great looking door by supper time.  Their prices were exactly what they quoted to me, and didn't seem too high.  Since I was a returning customer they didn't charge for the service call.  This is the third time we have used them, but the first time while on Angie's list.  We plan to keep them as our regular garage door repairman, but we hope we don't have to see them again too soon.
