"Fine Finish impressed us from the first meeting. Mark provided excellent ideas and drew out some plans while we sat down with him on his computer program, so we could see what things would look like. They were about 2 weeks out on estimates, but Mark referred us to his cabinet builder to work with in the mean time, and he (Cliff) was great. 
Once the cabinet budget was set, the estimate came through within about a week, a few days after the initial timeline, but Mark was communicative throughout and let us know work on the estimate and plans was progressing. The budget came in over budget, so Mark let us know what things we could help with, and provided some other ideas to get within a design we loved, with the cabinet line we wanted, and a budget we could live with. 
I work from home, and from what I could see, the project ran smoothly. There was some dust and noise during the demo, but the team screened off the area so it didn't come into the rest of the house. Mark arrived on site daily, did quality checks, progress reports with his team and provided us with weekly updates. 
The cabinets, countertop and backsplash all work so well together the visual effect is stunning. Friends love hanging around the island (which is a new addition), and we love the extra space. 
Our kitchen looks fabulous and we are thrilled with it.

He was late making our 2-hour scheduled window due to previous customer time, however, he called me to let me know he'd be late and also called when he was on his way. "This is my third time hiring Charles -- he has done 2 bathrooms for me over the years. This spring I had the entire ground floor redone--it was gutted down to the studs in places and redone into new spaces for a kitchen, dining room, living room, and family room. Charles has great vision -- he can see a space and visualize solutions. I had other bidders, who were stumped as to what to do with the space. Charles had no hesitation and designed a space that is absolutely stunning and exactly what I had in mind. He hires really high quality subs who have long term relationships with him. He insists on quality work and does not cut corners. The electrical, cabinetry, tile and wood floor work were done by specialists who are absolute craftsmen. This was a 4 month project that just wrapped up a few days ago. I highly recommend Charles -- he doesn't have a slick website but is authentic, and completes what he says he will, when he says he will, with quality. My new space is so lovely."

I exchanged emails and pictures in advance of my appointment, and got some details about what to expect including the names of both workers. The workers arrived a bit early (so much better than late:-), I showed them what I needed, and one person started the work while I went to the hardware store with the other fellow to purchase the materials needed.

There was one drywall project that I thought would require an expensive repair. Instead, they fixed it easily and I was thrilled. 

They fixed a crooked cabinet in my kitchen that had been driving me crazy.

 They replaced door trim and added baseboard trim to several rooms, including the kitchen. After they left I discovered that they'd actually moved the refrigerator and put trim on that portion of floor too! I didn't even think to request this and was so happy to see it. Clearly, they take their work seriously and wanted to do the best job possible, but this was above and beyond and I'm so happy!

I'd purchased a block of hours at a discount from Angie's list, and they finished my tasks a few minutes early. So they offered to do a few other minor things instead of packing up immediately. Wonderful!

I am so very pleased with this company. I would absolutely use them again and would recommend them to anyone. The work they did for me was simple, but given the level of quality and attention to detail, I'd trust them with something larger without hesitation.

"When we had a new dishwasher installed we noted that when the wiring had been punched through the wall behind it, it left a fairly large hole which was open to our crawlspace allowing cold air or possibly small critters a way inside our house.  We also had had a new wall switch installed recently which required cutting a 1 1/2 foot square hole in the drywall below it.  Both holes were patched very professionally.  The existing wall texture was matched below the switch as well.  The work was fast and you'd never know that there were holes in either location now.  Well done!

"One of the best parts about working with Mr. Tapia is his responsiveness. He always texted or called me back. I never had to wait long to get answers to my questions, or reassurance that things were going well. (Remodeling can be a bit stressful, Marco made this much less stressful). He also is very honest about how busy he is and when he can realistically get to the job. When I had to get flooring done by a certain date, he ended up doing it himself to make sure it got done on time. (It has been a crazy summer for remodeling in portland this year with a scarcity of workers). The workers that Mr. Tapia hired to work on my house projects were amazing professionals! Having remodeled a few houses before, I have a pretty good idea of what quality workmanship looks like, and Marco's crew does excellent work! All of the walls in my house are perfect: clean, perfectly textured, smooth and beautiful. Mr. Tapia knows good quality and likes to make sure that all the details of the job are done and done well. The gentlemen that made the kitchen cabinetry did a beautiful job, with a gorgeous butcher block island and each cabinet detail finished and perfect.
