"We hired nick to replace two exterior doors and storm doors. The work was done quickly and well. They cleaned up the mess very nicely. He was responsive to our questions and very friendly and helpful, and the price was very reasonable. I would recommend to anyone."

"Mr. Ferrell first connected his computer to my computer via internet and worked for quite a few hours trying to determine what exactly was wrong. The next day he continued working from his computer for several hours. He determined he would have to have my desktop tower to complete the repair. He and my son met in Huntsville to exchange the tower. He then cleaned up a lot of what was wrong and reloaded Windows 10. He deleted the D: drive which had way too much memory allotted to it. The tower was returned and I plugged it all back together and it is working better than it did when I first purchased it. I would use him again and I recommend him highly to anyone needing computer updating and/or repair. His work is warrantied and he is very personable, knowledgeable, and helpful."

"They did an excellent job replacing the window and all the wood trim inside and out. They matched my paint and were very professional. Although it was a little more involved with some rotten wood, they stood by their estimate. Professional, on-time, work performed exceeded my expectations."

"I needed a total restroom redo. I had new plumbing, drywall, tiles, and a shower install with a soaking tub put in. He walked me through the process. The total job cost with labor was 15,000. I will very much recommend him. I will be using him for future projects."

"Interior work was done on a 21 year old house. The entire interior was painted and as many as 35 original tiles were replaced throughout the house. Other various handyman services were provided such as replacing the garbage disposal and bathroom exhaust fan. Locks were changed out and rotten wood was repaired at the bases of the garage door and the backdoor exiting to the outside. Work was done quickly and to owner specifications. The cost of the entire job was absolutely reasonable. Aside from the work's quality and cost, most appreciated was the flexibility and creativity offered to meet the challenges an older house will present. Communication throughout the job was excellent and work areas were routinely cleaned and orderly by the end of each day."

"Technician came to the house and analyzed the problem. It was determined that the cost of repair was over the allowable Choice Home Warranty limit and it should be replaced. Choice Home Warranty issued their replacement cost. This cost was unacceptable and I challenged their figure. After some negotiation I was offered an increased settlement amount. I still balked at their offer but I was told to take it or repair my old microwave. I finally accepted their amount, even though it is still well below what it will cost me to replace the unit. I might add that the existing microwave has the convection feature and I want to replace with same features. The cost that I will receive also does not include any removal, disposal or installation costs. At this time I am debating whether I will continue with Choice Home Warranty or consider other options."

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in Corpus Christi, TX

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
