"Chris was amazing. He was the first to arrive of all the contacted people. We talked about what I wanted (replace the cartridge) and he quoted me $250. That is not high to replace a cartridge. He determined that the shower knob faucet valve cartridge was probably NOT DEFECTIVE, possibly only cleaned, and I assumed the price would be lower with no new $100 part needed. He fixed it by adjusting the hiddent pressure valves, removed and cleaned the cartridge, but didn't lower the price. I'm mostly okay with it. The problem IS SOLVED, I know next time that I can probably adjust the valves myself, and he did a great job. So between the pretty-reasonable quote if it had needed all the work, the fast response, and quality work, I got my money's worth. I would recommend them and call them again for more work.."

"The plumber was prompt, professional, and completed the issue with my toilet in about 30 minutes. The downside was it was an expensive repair due to the $300 service call fee for such a quick fix. The plus was that the Plumber took off $25 as a first time customer ($275 instead of $300), but with the tank parts the total fee was $325."

"Paid upfront. Zoom Drain flooded my vacant, rent-ready home by leaving the water on during their work. Flooring destroyed. Took weeks to admit responsibility and now months later there is still no flooring, no insurance contact, and no resolution. Endless delays, excuses, and silence. I?ve lost rental income and had to pull listings. Filing CSLB complaint if this isn?t resolved immediately. Absolutely unacceptable.Mistakes can happen. What matters is how a company responds. Leaving a customer with a damaged, uninhabitable home for months without resolution is unacceptable. This review will be updated once Zoom Drain takes full responsibility and the damage is properly remediated. "

"Called office to get on schedule and was able to get appointment same day. Office staff was lovely over the phone. Plumber arrived and assessed my kitchen drain line issue. Clarified all my questions and was able to come back the next day for the repair. Would call again for any plumbing issues."

FAQs for sewer main install, replace or repair projects in Costa Mesa, CA

When installing a sewer line, you should consider extra costs like tree removal, driveway repairs, or patio resurfacing. Hiring a professional plumber is essential, and you may need additional specialists if landscaping or heavy excavation is involved. Addressing these potential extras up front helps ensure accurate budgeting and prevents sudden cost overruns.

To calculate the length of sewer piping you need, measure the distance from your house to the main sewer line, adding the depth of the city main to this distance. Be sure to account for any obstacles like tree roots or utility lines that may require additional piping.

City sewer lines are installed at a lower elevation to prevent unwanted backflow and water damage. This lower positioning ensures enhanced performance and long-term safety, meeting all technical and safety standards.

With trenchless methods, a plumber inserts a smaller pipe within the existing plumbing, avoiding full excavation. It can be more cost-effective and less disruptive than traditional methods, but it's not suitable for all homes.

Yes, you must secure permission from your local water authority before connecting to a public sewer line. This approval ensures your connection meets all regulatory requirements.

Sewer lines are buried between 18 inches and 8 feet deep, with most systems placed between 18 and 30 inches. In colder regions, pipes are set deeper to remain below the frost line.
