"We hired Mark to brick up an opening in the wall of our house. He coordinated with us to plan the work and select the bricks that were the closest color to our home's original bricks. He performed the work in time to meet our insurance company's deadline. The new brickwork blends well and looks good. Mark is very conscientious and knowledgeable. We were happy to work with him!"

"Tom did a fantastic job with pressure washing our large vinyl fence (285 linear feet) on both sides and the mildew on the north side of our house. He was a super nice guy, got here on time and did a thorough cleaning for a reasonable price. Our fence and house looks great! We would highly recommend!"

"I feel extremely lucky that I found Shane Moran Masonry via Facebook. I based my decision to reach out to him on the reviews that others had left, so I feel it important to return the favor. Shane's communications were prompt and friendly and he came out to my property to assess the work within a very reasonable time frame. That's hard to come by in this climate. I asked him to remove an existing window and replace it with a sizable door on the exterior of my stone house. When I tell you that it looks like the door was always there- I can't stress enough how great the work is! The job was done on schedule and I truly couldn't be happier. I have already referred him to a few friends looking for work. And now I'm referring him to you! Call Shane Moran today!"

"We had an entry door installed and could not be any happier! They really worked with us to get us exactly what we were looking for. We were really pleased with how quickly we were able to get our door installed as well. The neighbor even complemented on how nice the door looks! Highly recommend Source 4 Window and Door!!"

Customers say: True professional

"Skimped on quality of retaining wall, not burying one layer of block in some sections. As a result, There are five gaps in the versilock wall on the bottom. I have reached out to him for 6 months to deal with this issue and have been met with delays and no response. <br /> Was rushed in pouring concrete. Some areas are not to code, i.e., proper depth. Corner of pour cracked two months after completion in December 2014. Contacted him immediately to have it corrected in the spring of 2015. Once again, was met with delays, excuses and the last two months no response. <br /> I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. <br />"

Small jobs welcome

"In November of 2019 on Wednesday, before Thanksgiving the Wind Blew Off Rows of Shingles exposing my home to rain and snow. The Owner of C &amp; H came to my home on Thanksgiving quoted me a very fair price. C &amp; H Roofing Crew repaired my Roof on Friday just before a freezing rain snow storm was coming for the week. C &amp; H Roof Repair Crew started in 7 AM and finished early afternoon. They brought their own equipment, reinforced other parts of the roof, and cleaned up the area as well. I was very satisfied as well as grateful ever since they did this job on a Holiday Weekend. I will always call C &amp; H on any Home Project or Repair Emergencies. This Review was written well after Months of C &amp; H Construction Finished the job and I have had High Winds again, but C &amp; H Repairs are still holding up just as they promised. I highly recommend C &amp; H Landscaping and Construction and do so with complete honesty and sincerity without reservation."

"Anthony and his team did an excellent job. He responded to our request and completed the work within a week. He replaced a steel lintel above a patio door and pointed several places on outside brick including the chimney and replaced the cap. He was very straightforward with the cost and the contract. We really enjoyed working with him and will use his company again in the future."

"Their team was very professional and fast. We needed all our our lentels replaced and much of our chimney re-pointed and they had everything done in 3 days. There were no complications or mistakes made and we are very please with the work we had done. My husband and I would hire them again for any future needs, but are satisfied that thankfully we probably will not need to hire them in the near future because of the sound and stable work they completed on our home."

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Cranberry Township, PA

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
