"He arrived at 8:30a.m. The new hot water heater was waiting on site. He took the heater out of the carton and reported to us that it was damaged on top but that he thought it was primarily "cosmetic". He let us decide if we wanted it installed or wanted to return it and get a replacement. Since we had been without hot water for several days, we decided to give this one a try. It would also have meant that we would have to have him return at a later date to install the next water heater. So far it has been doing a great job hearing our water. He was very professional and competent at his job. He took the old heater away for disposal.

"Holiday repair of leaking water pipe after hours with a house full of company! Repairman also suggested we add some support to long pipe runs to reduce opportunities for joint leaks during times when many people putting stress on the system. Relieved to have the problem fixed! (Another plumber we called returned our call the next morning...🙄)"

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."

When it finally started leaking, we called Third Generation Construction. They responded quickly, replaced the unit the same day, and even installed a drain pan, safety straps, and an expansion tank! Stuff our old system did not have. It looks much better now, and most importantly, we finally have plenty of hot water again."
