Small jobs welcome

"I hired this father-son team to repair my deck...the floor was sagging and damaged by original insufficient room between boards for drainage. They pointed out several problems; discussed all surprise irregularities, fixing unforeseen safety issues with suggested ideas and outcomes. They were dedicated, punctual, professional, and personable while doing an excellent job. Rain didn't stop them; they put up a canopy, and continued working until the area got too wet to safely use the electric power tools. Their work was precise with dedication to detail. My choice will always be precision and quality over speed."

"I was looking for a company to remove the textured/popcorn ceiling throughout my entire house.  George Jr. came and did an estimate.  He was very punctual, professional and extremely patient with all of my questions.  I must have called/emailed 10+ times with questions.  He was also very accommodating with my schedule.  Price was very competitive considering the amount of work and vaulted ceilings.
The house was vacant so it was easier than having to work around furniture.  I actually don't think it would have been possible with furniture.  There was an incredible amount of dust during the work in progress.  Finished work was just as I had expected.  I highly recommend George and his crew and would use them again in the future.

"We had numerous seam repairs in our ceilings and then I wanted all the ceilings painted.
The workman was meticulous about keeping everything as clean and dust free as possible.
All areas were shrouded in plastic sheeting and all floors were protected.
He arrived on time, and worked longer each day than I expected.

"I was searching Home Warranty providers after a bad experience with my 7 year, soon to be terminated "former" Fidelity Home Warranty service provider. Warranty service providers are essential, for they step in and "act" when life deals you an "Oh Crap" situation like your refrigerator suddenly quits. Every high dollar appliance in a home has a life span that will end whether your prepared for it or not. It's a common occurance that leads to unexpected higher debt concerns while you frantically attempt to save your food from going bad. Got a minimum of $1,700 to get a new one? A truck or a really good friend to borrow theirs to pick it up? Plus time to allow it to achieve proper temperature to transfer your temp sensitive food! Well if you haven't experienced this type of event, in your life, you will! I began by doing some easy research online like searching for best Home Warranty providers. I put some inquiries out to prospective providers and as expected, the sales calls began to ring on my phone. They all have why "they" are the best provider - so take notes and compare policies. Ask whether they cover swimming pools, septic systems, roof repairs etc. So my phone rings with an out-of-state area code and it's Zach from Choice Home Warranty. While on the call, this enthusiastic salesman hit all the "trigger" items I was looking for; *Annual Service Price *Price per claim deductable *Response time You know, all the "need to know" info that helps you make an informative decision. I started paying $550/year 7 years ago in 2014 with my old service provider. The per claim fee was $65. Today in 2022, it's $710/year and $85/claim. Was it worth it you ask? If I figure the math, my total cost over 7 years and only 4 claims was $4,450 or $636/year. This cost paid to replace my pools salt cell and chlorine generator ($1,800 in parts alone), 2 separate Air Conditioner repairs which replaced the coil fan motor, a circuit board replacement, system coil cleansing, relays and a capacitor. (No idea of how much my total cost would have been. I paid $65 twice. Nice huh?) 1 roof repair that replaced the "Cricket", which is a 15' roof section elevational change just below the ridge line. It's important to remember that these repairs don't include "hidden costs" which are personnel and service labor rates. Something you will pay for without a Warranty Service. Here's the best part of the call from this AWESOME salesman. He offered me 6 year "fully transferable", rate locked for life" service policy that when divided out by 6 is LESS THAN WHAT I WAS PAYING ANNUALLY, 7 YEARS AGO!!! So, is a Home Warranty plan a safe bet??? I have a 9 word answer for those without a Choice Home Warranty service plan. YOU BET YOUR DRIPPING SWEATY BUTT CRACK IT IS!!! Props to Zach, YOU DA MAN!!! "We purchased a super deal for a full bathroom -- and ended up doing the other upstairs bathroom and downstairs powder room as well-- We are so happy with the end result. When we first tried to get started with the project there was quite a backlog as many people had purchased the deal... however, it was worth the wait.  Mr. Barnes has able to find some great vanities, cupboards and mirror medicine chests to fit in with our old deco bathrooms
The painting and detail work is superb.
We've updated the bathrooms with new sinks and toilets (and will be saving a lot of water now) but have retained the historic tilework! that was a major concern to keep the deco look of floor and wall tiles. It looks absolutely fabulous.
Mr Barnes and his crew are most friendly and thorough. The project took a bit longer than expected but worth the wait.
We now have 3 beautiful bathrooms with electric and plumbing updated to today's standards, while retaining the historic deco look.

and now we are scheduling work for kitchen and other work on the house.
Takes time but worth the wait

FAQs for shed, barn or playhouse repair projects in Crisfield, MD

You’ll know it’s time for a new shed roof if shingles curl or buckle, soft spots sag, or water stains appear inside. Moss or other plant growth on the surface is another red flag that moisture has breached the roofing layers. Replacing the roof quickly stops leaks from spreading, protects stored items, and saves you from costlier structural repairs down the road.

Choosing between a flat and a sloped shed roof comes down to climate, budget, and upkeep. A flat roof is cheaper up front, but still needs a slight pitch for drainage. A sloped roof sheds rain and snow more easily, lasts longer, and often needs less maintenance. Weigh your local weather patterns, the look you want, and how much time you’re willing to spend on upkeep before deciding.

A shed roof’s life span hinges on the material you choose and how well you maintain it. Most standard products last 15 to 30 years, while premium picks like slate or clay tile can protect the structure for 50 to 100 years. Regular inspections, fast fixes, and routine cleaning all help you reach the upper end of those ranges and keep your tools and gear dry year-round.
