"When I handed the Complete Building Solutions report over to my contractor to complete the project, he told me that he was glad I had engaged CBS because they are so great to work with. I have hired CBS three times for residential projects - they always respond quickly, assess thoroughly, and communicate expertly. I highly recommend their work!"

"Jeff was prompt, knowledgeable, and a great problem solver. He went with me to find a new garage door and managed to install it and refit the brass fittings while not interfering with the security system. <br /> The gate he built on our deck has finally made it safe for our dog! He's happy, too. <br /> Jeff fit the jobs to our very changeable spring weather and managed go get the painting in between rain storms. <br /> He did everything with a great degree of professionalism and left each work space as clean as when he started. <br /> I'm working on a new list and will definitely be calling him again. <br /> <br />"

"Almost two years ago we hired Vail Builders to remodel our Kitchen. We were so impressed by Jim’s professionalism and attention to detail we asked him to return to gut our only bathroom, and perform what, to us, was a high-end remodel. This remodel involved custom cabinets, soapstone countertop, and ceramic floor and wall tile. Again, Vail Builders exceeded our expectations of finished product and attention to detail. Jim uses only seasoned building professional and all Vail Builders contractors were respectful of our home and to those of us that dwell here, in addition workspaces were cleaned after each work day. Jim is always responsive to inquiries, requests, and those inevitable changes that come up in the course of a major remodel. Communication is timely and thorough. Because of the age of our home and the long list of future projects, my wife and I look forward to a long professional relationship with Jim and the entire Vail Builders Team."

"It was a pleasure to work with Roncor - they first listened to us in 2012 and were patient when we couldn't start the project until 2013.  Plans were created, reviewed and adjusted several times based upon our feedback.  Any changes made to the plan after the start of construction were well documented and cost disclosed.  The project began in June 2013 with excavation.  The workers were on time, professional and very neat.  Roncor was very helpful in creating a vaulted ceiling design we had in mind - it was more difficult than anticipated but it looks great!  The subcontractors they used were very professional.  We did have trouble ordering the correct windows and doors from a local lumber yard, but that was an issue with the lumber yard's window specialist measuring the wrong size and ordering the wrong doors, not Roncor's fault.  This did delay the project and finally completed in September 2013. We will use Roncor again for our remodeling projects as they allowed us to do some of the work ourselves in order to save money. They had a bit higher cost than other remodelers we looked at, but their professionalism and ability to complete the project the way we wanted was well worth it. <br />"

"Approached the entire project very professionally and did thorough job with the work. Available via e-mail or cell as needed, and also they set a schedule using web-based project management tool that automatically alerted you to updates on the project. They would also call to update in addition to relying on the project management portal. Weather prohibited project completion, but they worked late into the season to get main part of it done and will finish the work in the spring (ground work and cement below the deck, and painting). Will be having them quote additional remodeling jobs on the inside of the house."

"Everlasting Exteriors offered a competitive price and responded quickly to my questions about product and scheduling. The crew was prompt on installation days and did a very professional job. They cleaned up around the house and were careful not to damage the yard and plants. I highly recommend Everlasting Exteriors for your outside home improvements.."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Darwin, MN

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
